I fear today's reaction will only encourage them to print more about him. It has been a while since this many people were talking about that publication and it has been on mainstream radio and tv. All football fans seem to have a view, twitter has been lighting up and they are getting links, mentions and clicks at a huge rate. If you are in their marketing deapatment looking at recent activity you would certainly be encouraging more of the same as their advertising revenue will be up greatly today.
To be fair though, he has brought most of this upon himself. If he had had the decency to stay at Liverpool for the glory and not moved west for the money, I could have far more sympathy with him. Not only that but he appears to have made absolutely no effort, whatsoever, to stop being both black and successful......

You get the feeling that they don't like the fact he is England's best player and black.
 
Strange choice of tattoo but definitely not front page news, given some of the shit that other England players have pulled over the years. The Sun’s just trying to win back over the scousers post-Hillsborough and Sterling’s an easy target.
