It’s weird the reasons we have for having a soft spot for a rival team. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Everton as at school in the 80s we had the strictest, most hateful headmaster imaginable. He was a real old school hang em and flog em type.

But then one time Everton beat United 5-0 and at the next assembly on the Monday morning he walked to the front of the hall as usual wearing his gown and a stern expression, turned around to face a few hundred lads, and we all saw he was wearing a placard around his neck with “Everton 5 Fergie 0” on it. He never made reference to it but just proceeded to deliver the usual stern assembly to the school. It was brilliant and even though I hated him I always felt quite amenable towards Everton after that. Still do over 30 years later.

Most of the pupils at my primary school were rag fans as was the headmaster, he knew I was a City fan.
The head brought a TV into a classroom so he and other staff/pupils could watch United in an afternoon European Cup match (this is shortly after Munich). Another boy and I were excluded and sent to another room and given a sheet of arithmetic to complete.

Miracles will never cease. Dermot Gallagher on SSN's ref watch admitted the Foden incident was a nailed on penalty. He didn't blame Moss's initial decision but said VAR should have picked it up and Moss should have checked the pitchside monitor which would have shown it was a clear penalty.

There comes a time when even Dermot needs to keep a morcel of credibility.

I appreciate it’s cathartic to sound off on the biased coverage but we’ve all worked out why we are picked at and ignored. Maybe just enjoy the pain we’re causing. Perhaps the various broadcasters are saving their City coverage for end of season specials! When in all probability we win the Lge I bet North West Tonight play Blue Moon in the closing credits Whilst the presenters look on in reverential silence waving their candles.

It’s gone on for years! For whatever reasons racism, religion (don’t go there) clickbait, I can’t ever see it changing. We have to challenge it though, at ever opportunity. Just imagine if Pep had chosen United!!! That would have been excruciating, it would have seen me off. Let’s be thankful.

Corruption of referees is one thing but the almost conspiratorial way Sky’s commentators immediately said it was the correct decision (re: Foden) is even more concerning because they are trying to sell us something that directly contradicts with our own eyes.

I blame all those City fans who fucked Sky off for constant, unceasing Rag and DIpper bias. They are biting the City arse with a vengeance. If yer'd stayed and paid yer king's ransom for SkySports then we'd be . . . . . . . . . . . On second thoughts, i don't think anything is gonna change the mindset of those canutes in the RDAHMeedya one jot.

He'd have found a fictitious foul in the build up. Broadcasters must employ the likes of Walton solely on the basis of knowing what kind of foolery he's gonna come out with - black is white and sky blue is a colour with which Walton has never been enamoured.
