I think CFG will look to put a Basketball franchise in the new arena, perhaps even one for the NBA. It will also be huge for boxing. Spurs are trying to do the same with their new stadium and the NFL.Do you think we can expect the media to combine to attack the concert part of the investment.
By that I mean Silver Lake are USA based so will this be accepted as in football?
Possibly the plan starts with football then move on to concerts with a bit house building as well.
Where next we should ask.
The opportunities are endless really. CFG have now got sites all over the world near Tokyo, Melbourne, New York, Mumbai, China, South America etc etc. They can link up all of them to get sport and leisure sponsorships. We can broadcast our own events digitally across the globe. This is the future of professional sport, whether we like it or not. Personally I am happy to see modernisation and change. I just wish I was 30 years younger.
