To get to Battle(the town) just outside Hastings Harold got his men to walk 25 miles a day which is crazy. They got there in 9 days picking up the fyrd soldiers along the way and spent a week preparing for battle which normally they would have around a month. Williams army have 3 weeks rest before and Harold very nearly won which is remarkable considering the odds were massively stacked against him
Shows the benefits of rest over being battle hardened. If only it always worked out like that.

Always stop off at Stamford Bridge for the local Chippy, on the way back from Bempton. Stretch the old legs by the river.
Its really picturesque that part of Yorkshire, we used to go for a nosebag at this pub, well worth a visit.

These knobs are necessary so people can be made aware that Raz"s brilliant pass wasn't so good. There was little enthusiasm for the pass at the time but I think they became more praising later on.
The commentators and pundits have come out with the Same Old Shite as normal in this tournament. I am amazed that so many blues fail to see this.
It caters for the lowest common denominator - Rag 'n Dipper armchair fans who just want to hear how impressive, enormous, successful (without any trophy haul!) their clubs are - and Sky 'n BT cater for them shamelessly!

I think Southgate has got the right idea by gradually including as many Man United players as possible into his team's. Pick his games obviously but let them shine as much as possible.
Liverpool s turn next season should ensure his popularity with both media and their targeted subscription base.
Whether he will dare replace his core defence and spearhead of City players is debatable but he has made a start by withdrawing Foden. Lol.

Just switched sky sports news on, they've got Mark Wright n Lianne Sanderson ( female scum player ) discussing England, he surely hasn't been chosen for his football knowledge and she's like a louder, over excitable Barbara Windsor on helium.
Both dismissing Phil Big time, there's better players available Saka, Grealish and the new red boy wonder.
Phil didn't take his chance ( played out of position ) Saka outstanding and boy wonder showing his potential to be the best in the world.
Off button pressed.

There have been more City players in each of the 5 teams Southgate picked than any other club by a considerable distance. They've also been lavishly praised by the media.

Looking at this thread is like putting your tongue on a battery when you're a kid. Some of you are like Viz characters.

Totally ignored by these so called knowledgeable pundits. Blindingly obvious to anyone with an ounce of knowledge of football that Foden was out of position and being asked to play in a way that restricts his creativity. He was never going to set the game on fire playing there. You could see the precise moment against Scotland when he though 'f*ck this' and went for it. Waistcoat hooked him soon after.

These pundits and reporters clearly have an agenda that they stick to rigidly, and tow out the same bullsh*t week after week. They aren't reporting facts anymore; just lies and propaganda. Most sports desks, especially those c*nts at Media City are just extensions of the Rag's/Dipper's PR Departments.
