Sadly i agree with you. Its a shame the club doesnt start to take action because its not just the club that have to put up with is abuse, us fans do as well. It get worse year after year.

After our FA Cup win in 2011, my 11 year old son on holiday in cornwall and went into the coop in Hayle were someone started having a pop at him about dirty Arab oil money , had had to step in the middle of the coop and ask this local if he wanted to carry this on outside, he didnt.

The year later when in St Ives i had some bloke of about 50 call me a wanker as i walked down the road to the beach ok it doesnt bother me i am old enough and ugly enough to look after myself.

But it would be nice if the club did come out and put these people straight. The general public believe these twats, they believe City did cheat FFP, they believe all the lies about City and all the human rights crap, they believe City are state own. But its us fans that get the abuse in the streets , on holiday etc. For the great things City do i wish they would take on this bitter lying press/media in this country. I even came close to a fight the other year when on holiday two gobby twats shouting of how City have been breaking FFP etc. Now they believe that we postponed and we are treated differently

I dont want to stop wearing my City stuff but i might have to to please the wife, never use to have this trouble when we were shit lol
Here in spain I have the same problem. I’m too old to fight(as if I ever could) but i have to fight my corner with the expats out here where it’s getting fiesty so much so that i watch our games in my cassa.fortunately it’s late kickoffs.

Apparently, Fulham-Spurs is off tonight. Lets see how the media report that
Sky are panicking about any kind of break in the football cos of the virus.
Yet they try and come across all caring for all mankind through their logos for BLM, Rainbow coloured laces campaign etc etc.
Just a money machine that doesn't give a fuck about anybody really, just its corrupt self

True - but I also believe that City have been very slow in realising that you need to play the 'social media' game – massive corporations like Disney realised long ago and use it to influence opinion for their benefit... City need to wise up and start a social media offensive... not fighting the trolls - sorry 'journos' - but start positively influencing through social media.
Spot-on. City are quite good at doing the local community stuff online but we do not appear to have a robust approach to some of the harder news stories and false narratives. One of the most basic rules of Comms is that you tackle false damaging information head-on. If you leave a false narrative out there then it soon becomes an "established truth."
Some of these social media accounts have huge audiences. Rob Harris's biased (and sometimes false) reporting on FFP for example is syndicated across the world to hundreds (perhaps thousands) of media organisations. He works for AP one of the biggest news agencies in the world. His coverage has caused huge damage to City's reputation and undermined us commercially. It's very disturbing when you consider he makes regular appearances on Al Jazeera (the propaganda channel for the Qatar regime)
Ignoring this sort of content has been a big mistake by City in my view.

He tweeted about his wish for a scousers v united title race only a couple of days back
I am reluctantly coming to the conclusion that even another dippers title win would be preferable to the rags winning it. The wankfest in the media over them reaching the dizzy hights of second makes me realize what a first title in seven years would be like. Hope it's neither of them but better the dippers than the rags.

With either of those it's a choice between shit sandwiches..

I do think though with the help they're getting its the rags that are the flavour this season.

Personally I'm in & always have been in the ABU camp.

Spot on mate, we’ve seen how damming social media can be against us, having people actually working positively for us surely in the long time would be a massive positive.
Liverpool and United... many other teams too, actively have 'agents' working for them across social media to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative (one for the old farts) – but it works... the majority of people on social media are susceptible to suggestion... it's the Emperor's New Clothes effect.
