I have managed to avoid Talksport for 18 months, even in my car where I don't have DAB Radio so little choice of channels. It has honestly made me a much happier person, even in lockdown. I believe that Talksport is toxic and causes a lot of damage to the sport we all love. It is negative about everything, especially City.
Occasionally have it on for football commentary either that or 5 Live but only if I'm out driving....not had the bollock (does he still do a show?), Shoutyman or that ginger fucker & Gough on for a good 12 months plus now......my driving has improved and I don't smash plates at home either now.

We are poorly served in the UK for football coverage. The BBC has more or less given up with Radio 5 devoting very little time to football. I get my info on this site or podcasts. SKY used to be excellent but has totally lost the plot in recent years. It is now essentially a clickbait propaganda channel for the best-supported clubs. SKY will collapse as a business when the next TV rights deal goes to one of the global streaming giants and it deserves to go bust for being so complacent.

I was thinking the same myself about The Sly Business Model and their pandering to plastic Rags and Dippers at the expense and detriment to everyone else.
Most fans I know don't follow either of these clubs and are sick of their biased drivel and are walking away in their droves.
There are so many alternatives out there to watch live football all of which are cheaper with commentators and pundits that are far superior to the likes of Tyler, Ratboy and Spit.
If they're not careful they will end up like football broadcasting equivalent to Woolworths or Debenhams.
If they did I for one wouldn't shed a tear.

Same. Only listen for the odd commentry when driving home. Over a year now. Blood pressure when driving is much much better

So we’ve had 4 years of mass media bumming over the defensive powerhouse that is Liverpool.

Right now we’ve conceded by far the fewest goals in the league, even taking in to consideration our hammering by Leicester, and what do we get in the press?

Who’s the best defender in England?

Just in case you were not aware that Premier League players have broken the Covid rules, the Telegraph have an article showing the Spurs West Ham players, at the side they also picture (and name) 8 more. The list includes 3 City players (of course it does) and it informs you how they broke the rules.
To the best of my knowledge none of them caught the virus as a result of them breaking the rules unlike Salah who surprisingly isn't named or mentioned in any way.
2 Spurs players are named and shamed because they trained together. If only they had gone to a party in another country with 100 others.

SKY are definitely struggling despite having a potentially huge captive audience in lockdown. They are losing out to other services and their strategy of trying to attract Liverpool and United fans is not working. I have always argued that the vast majority of football fans do not follow United and Liverpool. Those clubs have big fanbases but are still outnumbered by the rest so SKY Sports have just alienated a huge chunk of their fanbase.

Anyone see Sky sports The Football Show, on just now and of course they had the ref that Dermot something on discussing the Pogba penalty....all agreed that it wasn't a pen but then all agreed that VAR would never overturn the decision ? Why the F not ?
Couldn't help but think that if, as Dermott Gallagher said, Michael Oliver was in the perfect position to see the Pogba dive, how did it get it wrong?
