You know, I had to check and, sure enough, you're absolutely spot on. Probably a bit of a tongue-in-cheek comment. Not up to Alan Davies' rant!

The FA Cup opens its Third Round weekend with a classic “David versus Multinational Oil-Powered Investment Vehicle” tie: Manchester City visit the County Ground to play League Two promotion prospects Swindon Town. The home side have had an unpredictable first half of the season, posting several wins against top-half rivals while stumbling against teams lower down, and without displaying much home form.
Their opponents are likely to be the City B team, but that means top-class players like Riyad Mahrez, Nathan Aké and rising young forward Cole Palmer eagerly displaying their skills, so Swindon still need a sporting miracle. Bigger upsets have happened before, though, and the FA Cup has become something of a bogey competition for Man City: they haven’t won it since 2019!
That was the same year we won the quadruple but we won't mention that.

Has anyone else read the wonderful article in the MEN by Stuart Brennan and how we have now lost our unwanted record ?

Manchester United overtake Man City in league table the pundits love

Manchester City's spending and squad strength have been spotlighted as the main reason they are the best in the league - it does not stand up to scrutiny

A truly great read and for anyone who thinks that SB is still a Rag should read this and many other stories he has published, tabooing a lot of shit stories from other media outlets and fan bases.
Brennan has been great for a while.

Why's he pointing to his arm?...
He's trying out his accent to see if geordies understand him. Saying: don't I look a soft twat with all these tats on my arm? I hope to be friends with the fat lad who does the videos. I'll show him mine and he'll show me his. You know what l mean'.

FFS - Only took 2 minutes for that wanker fronting the itv coverage to tell Ashley Cole he’d won the F.A. Cup more times (7) than Man City. Cole looked bemused by that as the **** then predictably informed everyone our starting 11 cost 420 million.

Likkle ol’ City really do get under their skin. Long may it continue.
