That's one of the best videos of the day I have ever seen.
The look of disbelief, and sheer astonishment at what he had just witnessed is amazing.
By far the best and most consistent, unbiased commentator around, gets the occasion perfectly.

It's clearly CGI.

Or is this a woosh moment for me?

BBC news dipper wankathon. No Manc blue or red will be cheering the Scouse shite. Don't imagine they'll get any support of Everton or Chelsea either. Nothing like this coverage for selves or Chelsea last year. Viva Real.
I wonder if BT’s commentators tonight will be willing on a foreign team to beat an English team?

No….. thought not

29 May - Will the Media Remember?

A second cup was won without scoring a goal in 240 minutes of open play. Soon afterwards notice was given of plans to celebrate on Sunday 29 May. It is hoped, amongst Liverpool supporters, to add another cup to further enhance the celebrations. A recognition event of their season is to be expected.

The 29th May is also one of the darkest dates in football history. It should always be remembered.

At the time, and for many years after Heysel, the response of LFC was poor. Over the years and through external influences, LFC have, in largely low key ways compared to other tragic events, recognised the deaths of 39 people, mostly Juventus supporters, and the events which left hundreds more injured.

The profile of Liverpool`s celebrations on the 37th Anniversary of Heysel mean that it is impossible not to also remember those who needlessly died on the terraces of a stadium, principally through the actions of their `fans`.

The media generally eulogise over Liverpool - they accentuate the positive, minimise the negative and forget the unsavoury.

29 May - Heysel - Remember the 39.

And the police just stand and watch.
Unbelievable.
Researching that after a long while, the intensity and sustained nature of the attack, the players had balls of steel to play, should have refused and see what uefa would have done.

Also what I took to be long lines of fluorescent jacketed stewards were cops in tit helmets. Makes is even more disgusting that they stood and did nothing. Did they think they might make the situation even worse?!?

Selective memory practised by the press, as per.

Waiting for a flight from Gatwick.
Kids in full Liverpool playing kit walking all around.

I felt compelled to buy my son the new City shirt to add a dose of realism to the concourse...

Not cheap though!!
Make sure you wear masks and stay way clear of them. You never know what you'll catch.

I have always maintained that City should have steadfastly refused to play the game that night citing players being shaken up and suffering psychological after effects of a concerted, planned, and police-backed attack on our coach.

It would have put the ball firmly in the authorities court and forced a discussion on the behaviour of these animal, filth, murdering, rat-eating, cunts.

City would probably have been forced to forfeit the tie but a marker would have been put down.
Opportunity missed
