Someone really ought to do some "important research" into the vested interests in the current sports journalism landscape.

1) Do you believe a certain faction of journalists are serving the interests of certain groups?

a) Yes
b) Well duh!

2) Which most likely are these groups?

a) The cartel clubs of European football
b) The American owners of English football
c) The Qataris
d) All of the above

3) Do you believe there are financial incentives to their biases?

a) Some of them yes
b) To a man and it needs investigating. Check for any offshore accounts linked to any of them.

4) Do you believe there is a racial element to their biases also?

a) Possibly
b) Absolutely

5) Do you believe there should be a regulating body that deals with sanctioning media publications, when they lie about football clubs and attack their fans. So that the responsibility is not on the club/fans being attacked all the time?

a) Yes
b) Yes and there should be a 3 strike rule in place. Banning certain journalists from covering certain clubs for repeat offences.

Harris is obviously going to present this "research" as some serious and independent study of fan opinions. The question is "where ?".

As many have pointed out, the questions wouldn't have passed scrutiny for research at GCSE level so heaven knows who would take it seriously.

Having said that, the questions in the fan-led review survey were nearly as bad and Government is taking that seriously.

Some of these 'journalists' are operating a vendetta.

In the Judgment Harris references in his tweet, the judge described him this way:

“ Nick Harris is a sportswriter, researcher, and analyst, specialising in the business and finance of sport, particularly football. He provides evidence about the earnings that might be achieved by professional footballers. ”

It is noticeable that he does not describe him as a journalist.

Yes, he gave evidence on potential earnings of the victims. The fact that he worked pro bono suggests to me that he volunteered his services rather than was asked to become involved. That, in itself, would be weird.
No wonder l am confused. He is an expert on players earnings.?Who was going to decide what level these kids would have attained? David White and Paul Stewart did well but most kids fall by the wayside. Someone brought up our Gary Mason on an unrelated matter the other day. Many people thought he would be a top player but he never made it. Its very difficult predicted the future for kids accurately for anyone least of a a prick like Harris.
As.most of the stuff was In the public domain why does the prick talk in so much veiled speech?
Thanks for your reply it gives me an extra reason to ignore this prick who is the epitome of the term "know nowt'.

I know it's not far but what is gained by dragging Dave Guest and a camera crew out of a warm studio to stand shivering In front of Old Trafford just to give an hourly report on the Mason Greenwood situation? The only difference is that it becomes lighter in between reports.
I do hope old Dave gets the gig for his more usual position standing outside the Crown Court
giving daily updates on a trial.

What case is he talking about? Bennell?
I can guess if involves us as he is a one trick pony with a one trick hobby horse but cannot see how he appears as a witness. He mentions working pro bono. That is a good way to admit no-one will pay him for his 'work'. It seems to be the journalistic equivalent of an unemployed or unemployable actor saying he is 'resting'.
Perhaps l am missing a lot because l don't use Twitter but l am not going to change that.
If you do find out what he is on about please let me know cos I ain't got a scooby. As you say, how can a journalist work pro bono?
Solicitors could give advice free even I suppose go to court and represent someone but a twitter writer!!!
