It's not just tragic it's unprofessional. They are linking themselves to what is clearly a trolling account which has lots of xenophobic articles about Abu Dhabi and our owner and Qatar. Some of them are libellous. There are comments about the Mendy case (at least one tweet is a potential breach of the Contempt of Court act) which can't be repeated on here. I can't believe the Editor of the New York Times would be happy to see one of his correspondents endorsing this sort of content.

Completely uncalled for. When you've put over 20 years unpaid work helping City fans in the OSC then you can criticise.

Making legally risky comments about an ongoing active rape case (Mendy) is not a good look for a school trustee.

It's interesting that someone like Panja or Delaney seems happy to be publically seen as follower of a trolling account with a racist narrative. It undermines their credibility as so-called journalists even more...if that's possible. I can't see how Panja's employers, the New York Times would sanction this. It is their brand that is damaged by association.
But then again La Liga seems happy to employ a Director who is happy to be seen as a public follower of neo-nazi accounts. The media has really become a very toxic place.

I am entitled to my opinion as you are yours. Why any grown man should put on a replica kit to be interviewed at home is beyond me. The fact he totally misinterpreted Pep’s comments and gave the media a bigger stick is also stupid. The account is also full of legally dangerous references to Mendy and his case despite the official court statement warning the media about coverage. Whoever is behind the account has no knowledge at all on how the law works in relation to alleged sexual offences or contempt of court. And yet Delaney and Panja are happy to be seen following such an account. They are bloody fools to get involved. It could harm their future careers.
