Henry Winter of the Times this morning gave a disgracefully biased report on Radio 5. Every sentence of Winter's interview ignored the facts, the circumstances, i.e. why there was no trouble at RM end, the obvious issue of ticket forgeries being in the hands of Liverpool fans, 50k ticketless Liverpool fans possibly heading to the stadium in the prospect of gaining entry either by force or illegal ticketing.
Winter comprehensively absolved Liverpool fans at the stadium in Paris of any responsibility for the last night's unfortunate event.
In virtually all the club football disturbances that have occurred there is only one club as a common denominator. Clue- it is a city on the west coast of Lancashire at the mouth of the river Mersey!
The culture on Merseyside is one of anarchy, anti establishment. It is a culture apolitical: being socialist or capitalist or social democrat is not relevant in that culture. At the forefront is me, me, me. A disrespect for your fellow beings, their welfare and their property.
It is a culture fed and encouraged by a media that cowardly ignores reality for fear of repeating the Sun newspaper's initial report of Hillsborough, a report that was closer to the truth that to this day is still brushed under the media carpet.

There is just a bit of the story missing from a lot of reports.

Turnstiles closed, now this is an experienced venue that has had time enough to prepare.

They don’t just shut them.

The police also know the world is watching, I can’t imagine it was planned to do it.

There is no doubting innocent Liverpool fans have been treated badly in this, kids, elderly etc.

The questions for me why where there turnstiles shut and why did the police feel the need to use tear gas.

I would also like to know why during the game when fans where still struggling to get in, the Liverpool seats and walkways where full.

I think these questions will answer the questions such as why did innocent fans get tear gassed. I feel the minority ruined it for the majority but for some reason with Liverpool they seem to all stick together.

Can you imagine the fallout if Notts Forest had a victory parade on the Hillsborough anniversary.
In fact, that analogy isn't as insulting as Liverpools parade.
What Liverpool are doing is more like Yorkshire police holding a televised 'copper of the year' do on the Hillsborough anniversary.
I’m sure they’ll be a ‘hard’ fixture date shoved into next years PL fixture algorithm calculation… Liverpool vs Forest at Anfield, about mid April…

Professional Scouse Apologist and "journalist" Tony Evans being interviewed on Sky News this morning. He wasn't there but he knows a man who was, so he thinks he's qualified to say what went on.
Had his Red Dipper bingo card out and he nearly called house - not their fault, good humoured, locals trying to get in, victims. He even managed to worm Hillsborough into the conversation.
The interviewer failed to mention there was no trouble at the Madrid end. Or to question why the fck would the locals want to get in the Scouse end with those lawless bastards
I am gobsmacked this is still on the Internet and I encourage everyone to read it

Klopp is doing an absolute top job for Fenway as he's guaranteeing top four and Champions league, which keeps the big bucks rolling in
Winning is not their ultimate strategy, money is, plus Klopp keeping the cult onside and making us the big bad enemy is a more than welcome bonus
Miguel Delaney said exactly the same thing on the Football Writers Podcast. The difference being ourselves, Newcastle and PSG were being accused of that crime, claiming winning trophies wasn't the aim, but making sure we would never have competition was.

I think there is a culture of fear around that club, both locally and nationally.

It's all very strange.

From an article in The Guardian about Liverpool's parade today. Remember, they claim not to care.

This.
THIS
THIS.

If there is only one takeaway from the reporting of the pre-match it is this superb point. If tweets/posts/tv can all be shown to corroborate the timeline of:
Liverpool end overflowing + many Liverpool fans complaining about still unable/awaiting entry.

then it’s a complete game over for any alternative facts narrative.
