Chelsea un-surprisingly have spent the most in the PL.
The figures for City & United and Liverpool are very much the same, and so for all intents and purpose should be classified the same.
So... United pretty much dominated spending up to 'no value in market' time, and have since post-ferguson carried on.
City, generally abysmal buying in the 90's and 00's and then playing catch-up.
Liverpool - crap essentially, until Klopp started hitting the right stuff...

As you've got the skill, can you pull out the value of Sales as well. Just to get an overall picture of Incomings vs Outgoings?

Annoyingly the club names aren't standardised between the "To" and "From" ('Manchester City' becomes 'Man City', 'Tottenham Hotspur' becomes 'Spurs' etc.. ) so doing a straight net spend isn't so simple.

My conclusions from today’s extensive research is drinks are about 10% more expensive in Alderley than Wilmslow, other than that who gives a fuck ? We’ll pay what we think is market value.
