We don’t do it every year like they did...and doI get that to be honest. If you don't support City and see City buy Grealish and Kane it starts to look like Man Utd under Ferguson, or Liverpool in another era.
I don't suppose he would get the same amused reaction of he accidentally called Liverpool 'the bus wreckers' or United 'the rags'.
you really believe that cretinous jibe was a slip of the tongue? No way that a word delivered so slowly was an unfortunate mistake.Probably not but that isn't a slip of the tongue.
I heard Miguel Delaney in a podcast earlier this summer say that City had changed tact, I didn't pay too much attention giving the fact I didn't think he had any connections in the club. He said the club was very sensitive to media reporting of their achievements versus other clubs. He said they were very conscious not to have any record signings and be accused than buying success. Basically he said the club were sick of it and had decided to stop tip toeing around their wealth and go out and just take players that the media couldn't ignore. Given the passing of time he looks like he could be on the money. This is hilarious but not unexpected.
One of the reasons this summer is so momentous is because we are going to 2 of the biggest clubs in the country and saying "we're taking you favourite player. The local legend, the captain, and there's nothing you can do because they want to come".
We're really throwing our weight around domestically for the first time.
Yeah tbh. I'm not that paranoid to think he's planned it. And it very much looked like a slip, and tbh of all the ways of getting at City they would do that?you really believe that cretinous jibe was a slip of the tongue? No way that a word delivered so slowly was an unfortunate mistake.
I welcome this approach. Most opposing fans accuse us of buying success so let's boil their piss even moreI heard Miguel Delaney in a podcast earlier this summer say that City had changed tact, I didn't pay too much attention giving the fact I didn't think he had any connections in the club.
