Headline in The Guardian: City ready to pay €150m for Kane. That’s right euros, apparently now the currency of the UK. The article does go on the mention this is £127m. Still, I’m surprised they didn’t go the whole hog and report the number in Turkish Lira to make it seem a really massive amount.
Or ZMW 4,005,170,706 Zambian Kwacha

The Guardian is just bloggs, people's opinions not journalism. A fanzone site.

I thought that initially, although it falls down on the other columns.

To be honest, I think it's people finding irritation to keep themselves happy - looking at the table, it's immediately obvious that 2/3 have gone for City, 1/3 for Chelsea and only 1 thinks City will be below 2nd.

It displays better to my eye as it is than if the first column were reversed.
On my phone the bbc site has the pundits listed on the left hand side and it starts with Shearers prediction. The pundits are not in any order so why have they listed the 7 pundits saying Chelsea will win it before the 13 that say City will win it ?

Because.

There really isn't a reason that is worth bothering about - as I said, it looks better from a layout point of view (to me) to have Chelsea first. I just don't care about the order, it's irrelevant on a 2-horse field.

Fair enough, I just find it bizarre, we are the Champions and more than half the pundits say we will be again.

It's even more underwhelming that that. His only competitive game for England was as an 84th minute sub in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago. His only other England appearance was against Platinum All Stars but no caps were awarded for that game. He was also an unused sub for a friendly against Egypt.

One Cap Warnock sounds like an appropriate epithet.

Or maybe 6 Minutes Warnock.
Whats that in dog years lol

And yet three of the first four quotes are from people who picked Chelsea, saying it's because they've just signed Lukaku, while City are waiting on Kane, and that if that goes through they'd change their vote.

If you look for bias you'll see it everywhere. It's a common phenomenon - a bit like gamblers remembering their wins but not their losses.

Here is a way to stop the trolling of Manchester City hosted by Guardian football. Simply report every such post. And you don't need an account to do it. Simply go through the comments, and report any comment you find to be trolling, and the Guardian will have to assess it.

If they want to grow their digital presence by attacking and trolling Manchester City then there will be an administrative cost to doing so. Be a good Citizen.

Marv is there any reason you have such an issue with The Guardian ahead of all the other papers? Have they done something uniquely bad?

Anyone hear any criticism of Chelsea, highest spenders last summer with around £230m splashed and just followed City in spending £100m on a player (give or take a few quid)
No? Me either.

Conclusion - City are seen as more of a threat, and also Pep is a factor. Football fans can't help but knock him

This 1000x. Chelsea are the biggest threat to City, which makes them likeable for the time being.

Because they are the most significant digital presence who are consistently hostile and have a political and commerical basis for hating Emirati wealth.

If you are faced by an army in the field who do you concentrate your fire on? The witchfinder general

Maybe so. I've been trying to understand his point of view but for some reason he's ignoring me, so I'm starting to suspect the Guardian isn't as bad as he's making it out to be.
He makes a lot of decent points but the ongoing obsession with the idea that the Guardian is responsible for virtually all the evil in the world is becoming very boring.

I could make much the same points about the Telegraph, the Times, the Daily Mail and the Sun. And there would be more truth in such allegations.
