It is all to do with sponsorship in the CL. Can’t have the word Etihad being shown on TV.
if you are on level one you will notice that on CL nights the signs with the aisle numbers on have blue tape over the words Etihad stadium. What an exciting job for someone taping them up before the game & removing it after.

Seems very petty to me, our stadium is called the Etihad, but we can have Etihad on our shirts. Havent watched the match yet but do City have to still cover over the City badge on the bench etc.

I thought the same but not surprised at the explanation. UEFA have hundreds of ridiculous rules mostly to do with money

Rule 1. The general secretary shall be paid whatever sum he wants by FIFA in return for the correct vote.
Rule 2. If the G14 clubs take a dislike to competition from an upstart, Uefa will make best endeavours to ban said upstart.

There's an underlying vein of praise for this clown by the MUEN. Perhaps they will be a campaign by them for the broadcasters' cameras to follow the actions of such dedicated fans from London 'legging it' with joy on the pitch?

Blackley Red probably comes from Brixton or some other London area.
Like you say he's a bitter little prick who gets ripped on there by the blues who post on the MUen..
They are very selective about comments from blues I had a few digs at him ..no swearing no threats just facts and they were deleted.
