Bryan "super-injunction" Robson and McGrath really raised professional hydration standards.
That's when the pitch at OT was constantly being laid and relaid.
The sweat from that gang of piss heads had so much alcohol in it that it damaged the playing surface and thereby earned the nickname of The Swamp.
I preferred Tommy Docs name for the pitch as the 'Cabbage Patch'.

I agree about Ronaldo but last season I thought we outplayed them at Old Trafford and should have won the game easily and they were lucky in the game at the Etihad with a couple of counter attacks. In fact I thought they rode their luck for most of last season and second was a false position. I just don't rate their so-called "world-class" players and this season they have been found out.
The pundits are still saying they have "world-class" players. Personally I think they need a total squad re-build and a new coaching team. The longer they delude themselves about the quality of their squad the better.
You can be lucky in some games but you can't finish 2nd in the league and claim that's luck.

Last season they were effective against the better teams when they tried to counter-attack but struggled against sides who themselves played defensively. They were very competitive in midfield with Fred and McTominay but that midfield lack quality. Liverpool's midfield isn't particularly creative but they don't need to be. They just win the ball high up the pitch and let Salah and Mane do the rest. Against the good teams, OGS had an effective way of playing. They'd be solid defensively and then use the pace of Rashford on the break, and use Fernandes to find him.

This season Shaw and Maguire have played really poorly and the signing of 3 big players in Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo has led to them being less defensive and trying to play more on the front foot and they haven't been able to do it. I think Ronaldo has unsettled their side. Rashford and Greenwood have lost out and what was working for them last season has been replaced by a goal hanger. He'll score 20 goals may be but damage the side. He'd have been better for us but I am glad now that we didn't sign him. It would have pissed Utd fans off in the window but over the course of the season it will rebound on the club that signs him.

In summary, last season Utd had an identity and way of playing against the City's and Liverpools now they don't seem to know what to do.

The penalties have dried up because ronaldo is static and there are no opportunities for Rashford, or any other speed merchant, to run into the penalty area and throw themselves to the ground
They'll be back against the Chavs.

Reilly probably hand picking Alty Fan and Tierney. Put Mason on VAR and they will be back with a "title runners display".

I see that tosser John Terry thinks it's between Chelsea and Liverpool for the title because of their ' squad depth', can't even bring himself to mention City as we're obviously so well out of the title race already. What a knob he is
He was obviously doing other things and didn't manage to watch the games we played against them this season !

He is co-writing a book in conjuction with that other waste of space the Grand Duchess of Hollywood called 'The Bench Vol 2'. Photos of both dressed up in their regalia with easy words for Rashford to understand and to fit in with his wild claim that he never read a book until he was 17.
Why do you assume Rashford is ignorant? Is how many books you've read a measurement of intelligence?
