That he disagreed with everything Carrick said in his post-match interview. About the penalty, and the attitude of the players in particular. Pointing out that Carrick was there when they were putting in wanky, effete performances, and now he says he’s proud of their attitude! Really laid into him.

Then he lost the plot with Carragher in a bizarre manner.

He’s a strange character. Understand why a lot of blues hate him, but I can’t bring myself to quite feel the same way.

Controversial viewpoint, and putting rivalries to one side, he had his reasons for the Haaland assault. Not trying to justify it, especially as it was against a blue on Derby day, but in the same circumstances I think many folk on here would have done the same. Being accused of feigning an injury, when you’re lying on the ground in agony with a fucked cruciate, and never having received an apology, when you’ve got the personality of Keane, is bound to fester and I guess it was too much of an opportunity for him to overlook.

Don’t expect I’ll be getting many likes for that comment!

What Falleini did in a Derby (twice) was far worse imo. On the other hand, what Buchan did to Colin less reprehensible as there was less intent (imo) tragic as the outcome was (as it was for Haaland).

It’s all about opinions.

If I’m being honest I think there’s a chance I’d have done the same as Keane in the same circumstances (not against a City player obvs!) but I’d never have done what Falleini did in a million years. If the boot had been on the other foot, and it was a City player dishing retribution then I reckon he’d have been praised to the rafters, whereas I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be the case if a City player emulated what Falleini did in a Derby. That’s the distinction, I guess.

He still wanks off dogs though.
I have to take issue with some of this mate, as I have felt strongly about it for years.

Let us not forget that it was coward Keane that tried to break Alfie's leg at Elland Road. The thick pikey prick missed him and injured himself in the process. That's why Alfie stood over him shouting.

Why on earth would Alfie need to apologise to the coward for trying to break his leg and injuring himself?!!!

For the coward to wait a number of years is one thing but why did he not try it earlier in the season in the Derby match at Maine Road? That's because he is a coward and would have been lynched by City fans.

If he was a hard as he thinks then he would have had it out with Alfie in private but let's not forget that he was a team mate of Alfie's at Forest and tried his bullying tactics their and Alfie fucked him off.

No sympathies from me!

Just posting to see if the world has ended whilst I was making my coffee.
I had a look at bbc sport online, there is not one mention of Rag Nick, pr37, the rags in general, Nothing.
There has either been a power cut at Media City or the world has ended

The rag bias in the media re wrote history and many now believe Keane just picked up an unfortunate injury at Elland Road. Haaland then strode over and abused him saying he was feigning injury.
You are correct Keane looked to foul Haaland and injured himself. That is why he was angry.
The rag media at its finest. Keane is a shit house rat I don't care if he slags the rags every single day for the next 400 years, he set out to deliberately maim a fellow professional.

Certainly not trying to sympathise with Keane, mate. The only person deserving sympathy out of that situation was Alfie, because of the consequences of the assault, and as others have said, because of the abject failure of his teammates to rush in and defend him.

I'm not sure he tried to break Haaland’s leg at Elland Road, especially as he ‘tackled’ him from behind, but he certainly tried to do him. No argument about that.

I guess what I was trying to say was that Keane, like Stuart Pearce, was a pretty honest player, never rolling about feigning injury iirc, and so to be accused of doing so is bound to fester, given his personality. I guess my view of the incident might be slightly more nuanced because I can understand, if not approve of, why Keane felt aggrieved, wheras the other Derby assaults I referred to were more gratuitous. Doesn’t really matter what I think about it tbh.

As to the timing, I guess (as I said before) it was a ‘perfect’ opportunity to do what he did. The ball was sat up, it was in City’s half and relatively close to the end of a game they were winning at the time (iirc). Like I said, it must have been too much of an opportunity for Keane to pass up, which may not have presented itself in previous games.

Understand why you don’t like him, mate. You’ll get no arguments from me on that score, just (for whatever reason) don’t feel the same way, possibly because I’ve never felt him talk in disparaging terms about City and that he refuses to toe the rag line. Fuck knows tbh!

I like him and would gladly spend time in his company ahead of the majority of other dickheads we get on our screens on a weekly basis.

You've slipped into a parallel world where mediocrity is not lauded.

Regardless of what you think of Jack Gaughan as a journalist, 'his £44mill valuation of Torres' is way off the mark. He's made that up.

And I don't believe for one second he was given that (cryptic) valuation of Torres via club sources, regardless of how close he his to the club. City don't give City player transfer valuations to the press to be made public. Especially not to the Daily United.

Am I right in thinking that in his book Keane claimed that Alf was the aggressor at Eland rd? Given that video exists showing Keane "tackling" Alf from behind, that would be an enormous lie.
