Just watched peps interview. Why the fuck are they asking him about steve bruce. No mention of how the team will be against Brighton but all about steve Bruce. What were they trying to achieve. We’re they trying to get a response that they could put in the papers tomorrow?
The media wanted him sacked as soon as the takeover was completed, then play the professional mourners card.
Fucking Dipper press

As you can imagine the Daily United(and the other tabloids) are awash with articles about the Dublin Derby this weekend.

Further down the Daily United main football page there's this article.

Thankfully, City haven't got any influential players, so I didn't read the article. Not that I would have read it anyway.
I think that from the very early days of the takeover the UK media concluded that the primary objective of our owners was to use City as a vehicle for publicity for and promotion of the UAE. Their strategy since then has been to try to undermine that through a combination of negative coverage and/or just pretending that we don't exist, in the hope that our owners would get fed-up and leave. They continue to cling to this forlorn hope nearly 14 years later.

I have it on very good authority, ok the Beeb, that Mansour will soon get bored and pack it in.

Jeez…they just can’t hide their hatred of us, can they…here’s what’s on this weekend according to that bastion of unbiased broadcasting Sly Sports…Cricket, football and the Grand Prix…but only one game of football on Sunday as far as Sly are concerned…

I know you all won’t, but don’t bother reading the Daiiy Mail football online. Wall to wall Dublin Derby.

Let’s get this straight. City were never known as the Noisy Neighbours until Alex Ferguson and Manchester United came up with that retort to the world famous and hugely successful ......

Sir Alex Ferguson's 'noisy neighbour' jibe at City is believed to have been prompted by their billboard campaign in Manchester city centre after signing ex-United striker Carlos Tevez in July 2009.

It’s well documented Alex Ferguson was absolutely livid about the banner. So he and United set about finding a retort. As would have been expected of the Fergie era, the football press in this country, controlled by Ferguson and United, went along with Ferguson’s retort.

All of them conveniently forgot what United did when they signed Cantona from Leeds. If you came off the M62 at the turn off to the old toilet, you would have been confronted by two posters, each with a picture of the sardine fisherman and the legend:
"Welcome to Manchester."
Fancy that.

Airbrushed out of the tabloids again this weekend as if it’ll make us disappear. Obviously there’s a clear strategy as has been alluded in an earlier post. Their strategy is like a small child throwing a tantrum and sticking their fingers in their ears .

Doesn’t bother me the noisy neighbour jibe, but the media myth that we signed tevez from the rags does he was never a rag player he was only ever on loan and that was from West Ham ..

If City were Viagra, Matt Hughes (from the Daily United) would be taking it 24/7.

1. He’s over a decade too late.
2. He knows f*ck all about what City think.
3. Another click-bait Hack stealing a living.
4. Another c*nt of a Journalist on the books of the Reds Shirts.

Pretty certain we actually signed him from one of Kia’s company’s who held his rights, not from West Ham

Which brings up the question, why were West Ham punished for 3rd party ownership, yet United weren’t?

Well it was always stated as,he was at West Ham along with maschereno and the rags signed him from West Ham on a 2 year loan I think, but nothing surprises me with your post and again the rags have their dirty fingerprints over something that stinks yet other clubs are under scrutiny…

Even though football journalism sets very low standards, it still amazes me that so many journalists are unaware that CAS and UEFA have both ruled that Etihad, Etisalat etc. are not related parties to Manchester City.

They are fully aware of that, but they ignore it on purpose. There’s no point in telling the truth and not getting any clicks, whilst pissing off your boss at one of the football tabloids. You have to remember, these Journalists are two-a-penny, fighting each other for a permanent career at one of the tabloids, so they will do as they‘re told, and write what they have to to keep their jobs and work coming in.

The Daily United ran with Harry Kane to United for £200mill for months during the 1st COVID lockdown. Lieing b@stards! As we all knew.

I think most of them genuinely aren't aware. It's not like Matt Hughes read the CAS report.

There are a few who are considered the authorities on this stuff who report dishonestly about it deliberately, and the rest just take their word for it.

Let's just make sure we win tomorrow. We could potentially go top for the 1st time this season. Although I don't rate Norwich chances of a draw versus Chelsea. Let them wank each other off about the A580 derby contenders while we get on with winning another title. Lets hope the red vermin kick fuck out of each other in a desperately dull 0 - 0. They love to big each other up about how their rivalry surpasses all others. Yet in reality the results of their games mean nothing in relation to title races.
In memory of the sick swan, "Not in my lifetime" can't have enjoyed the last 9 years much then having been behind us in every season and knocked out of several cup competitions by us not to mention us being favourites in every game versus them even at Old Toilet. The humiliation would be complete if we could smash them in a Champs League quarter or semi final. Thing is they never make it that far any more.
