You have lost me with that reply. What the hell have the British Legion or the BBC got to do with selecting a post war musical anthem as a WW2 song?

the original post was about the beeb selecting YNWA as a second world war song.
it was posted just as i was watching YNWA being performed on the BBC as part royal british legion festival of rememberance.
i thought thats what was being reffered to, if i am wrong what was the original post reffering too?

Watched this and said to the missus, not shopping at Aldi anymore. She told me to grow up.
I saw something on the news the other day about him now helping the homeless, think it was while he was getting a gong off Willie the balding, I said to the wife, I expect to see VK getting an hour long tv special next for all he did for Manchesters homeless...

Still waiting.

Found two old reports

The Premier league is becoming an attractive place to investors, the buyout of Newcastle and even more recently the Czech billionaire buying into West Ham. The top four including us cannot take our position for granted anymore, no wonder the history boys stakeholders are shitting it, their accumulation of trophies will be viewed in the future like Preston North End’s success in the early part of the 20th century is viewed now.
The Premier league has become increasingly attractive place to investors since the sport was monetised so stridently a generation ago by united and Liverpool in particular. This undeniable truth is conspicuously missed by fans of those clubs when complaining about the likes of Mansour and Abramovich.

You cunts created this landscape; if you’d left the previous wealth distribution model in place, or something resembling it, then that investment would have gone elsewhere.

What the fuck do you expect will happen if you concentrate more money towards the top of the game, you complete fucking morons? Absolutely zero fucking self-awareness.

You started this fire ffs.

This dirge associated with Liverpool and Celtic is promoted as if it was the only football song . If I'm honest never been mad on Blue Moon originally Crew Alex's anyway. Delilah (Stoke ) , Wild Rover ( Burnley), Annie's Song (Sheff Utd ) , Mull of Kintire ( Forrest ) and Bubbles ( West Ham ) all much better than YNWA. Surprisingly Rags don't have a anthem that is unmistakably theirs , if they did no doubt it would be rammed down our throats by the media.

There are lots of comments in this thread wishing that the club would take on the media. This would be a massive error imho. Think of it like a comedy show. The audience member barracking the comedian may be clever, witty and totally in the right. The comedian has the microphone though. Anybody who has been to a comedy club knows just how that pans out.

Very good analogy.

I thought they had that one with The Pontiff’s comments in?

Daily Express.(City haters)

Basically Barvelona and Xavi are going to give City an ultimatum. Loan them Sterling in January with a buy clause in the Summer. £50mill apparently. Or, play now, pay later.

What an absolute croc of shite. Another c*nt, Callum Burley, stealing a living.
