That's life ! Look at zoe ball, for example they are a fair few on tv and radio because of their famous parents. It's not right.
If I remember rightly Nigella Lawson almost caused a strike at the paper who employed without any qualifications. Got the job because her dad was in politics.
And I thought it was because of her fabulous rack

I saw this shocker this morning. At the end it said delivering dreams to Manchester United fans for over 10 years or something like that !
Haha what fcuking dreams were they then must have missed that.

According to David James on SSN this morning, Chelsea were playing Dynamo Kiev last night, don’t even know why I watch these bunch of amateurs.

You do, which is why United are always gven the actual number on the night by the matchday commander and then they choose to pluck a figure out of thin air, hiding behind tickets sold and corporate no-shows.

GMP will tell you that United very rarely get a crowd over 70k, even against City and Liverpool.
Somewhere I have that news item from GMP that appeared in the MEN about 6 years ago. They gave a full detailed account of the actual numbers that went through the turnstiles.
The Rags were "unavailable for comment" when questioned about it.
Another fucking myth and their so called full houses.

The Media went into overdrive last night and this morning with this amazing youthful Rag team, which is complete nonsense.
This was their side and ages last night.

Henderson 24 (replaced by Heaton 35 on 68 Mins}
Wan Bissaka 24
Baily 27
Matic 33
Shaw 26
Van De Beek 24
Diallo 19 (Who they bought for 35 million inc add ons0. (Replaced by Shoretire 17 on 68 Mins)
Mata 33 (replaced by Savage 18 on 89 mns)
Lingard 28 (replaced by Iqbol 18 on 89 mins)
Elanga 19
Greenwood 20

So their 1st 11, costing around 280 million, contained 2 players under 20, one costing up to 35 million. And the 20 year old Greenwood is a regular for them.

Then they brought on a 17 year old to replace one of the 19 year old on 68 minutes so still only 2 players under 20 on the pitch till the 89th minute when they brought on 2 more for a few minutes action.

Hardly a youthful team as the Rag sucking Media would have you believe. Just sums them all up tbh

They played 6 players 20 or under.

Why are you so insecure that United playing a bunch of kids getting mentioned by the media after a dead rubber with nothing else to talk about winds you up?

The Daily Mail run a massive article about "Pep's Pups" when we named 5 kids to the travelling squad and none of them started.

Liepzig vs City was NOT a dead rubber
Utd vs Young Boys was NOT a dead rubber

Just fyi…

Surely Lingard is 19 & has great promise for one so young. Keep going Jesse you young Pup.

UNSOLD TRAFFORD?

Nope, I've not seen those headlines either since last night.

Half empty stadium for biggest club in the world.

Maybe it was the rain or the storms in Ireland?

Admittedly, Salford is a fair old slog to that fucking shit hole.

40,000 empty seats, yep, we're pretty sure!
If you think Ireland is a *checks notes* "fucking shit hole" wait until you hear what's happening in your own country.

Funny how no one ever posts this one, event though it's 5 years more recent.

  • West Ham: Newham council says the average attendance at West Ham was 42,779 based on the 12 games it attended - which is 12,530 fans fewer than the club's season average figure of 55,309.
  • Manchester City: Greater Manchester Police's average figures were 7,482 lower than club figures, again based on 12 games.
  • Southampton: Hampshire Police figures were an average of 4,246 fans lower than figures issued by the club.
  • Tottenham: Brent Council says crowds at Wembley Stadium were on average 3,740 less than the club's stated numbers.
  • Chelsea: Hammersmith and Fulham council says its average was 3,505 fans lower than club numbers, based on six games.
  • Watford: Hertfordshire Police says its average was 2,602 fans fewer than club figures, based on four games.
  • Manchester United: Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police both said United's published attendance figures matched its own, based on 12 games.

They played 6 players 20 or under.

I think they played as a stating 11 the players who never get a look in , or hardly ever but are part of the highest paid squad in World football. Most are mature , experienced professionals , who United would love to replace.
Amad and Elanga were two young players starting..
I watched Munich so don't know if Amad is a superstar as my mate keeps informing me.

Explanation accepted but given the actual proximity of Salford and Trafford, that's not the way the post reads.

Maybe to you, but it was very clear, as was the sarcasm intended that even if people from Ireland couldn't manage to get over because of the bad weather, what prevented United's supposed huge following in nearby Salford not filling the stadium?

Why would any significant numbers from Salford be travelling to Ireland? It's universally known United have never been from Salford and reside in the borough of Trafford.

For whatever reason, you've seen a trigger and reacted. The only insult of a country came from you.

Let's be honest though. You can't possibly believe any figures produced by the police, especially GMP who are currently being investigated for faking their crime figures on a grand scale.

They had no more than 3 players under the age of 24 at any one time on the pitch until the 89th minute. The way the media carries on it was a team full of 16 to 18 year olds for the whole 90 minutes
