It’s quite depressing to see the attitude of the popular media to our success.
There‘s a wide streak of fear and hate of success in this country and instead of celebrating the great strides that this club has made which benefit the whole ‘product’ of the PL, they have to sneer and knock.
We are a threat to competition because we are as good as others want to be themselves, but why bother to improve when you can just whinge about unfairness?
They don’t seem to mind how good young Phil is in an England shirt.

Given City have forensically demonstrated (via CAS) that they abide by FFP rules, and are subject to the same squad size limits as the rest of the P.L. I fail to see any sensible argument to support the notion of unfair advantage. If only the numerous erudite geniuses earning a living as sports journalists stopped to consider, the obvious reasons City are doing so well might then become apparent.
To help them in this quest, should they decide to embark on it, here are some hints:
1. A dedicated professional 100% committed to the cause manager.
2. The insistence by that manager on the same commitment from players and staff.
3. A successful transfer policy and patience, where necessary, with players as they adapt to his style
4. No player ever becoming bigger than the club.

It would make more interesting reading if these journalists, instead of pushing constant negativity about City, were to question why, despite spending not dissimilar and sometimes greater amounts on their squads, certain other clubs have fallen so far adrift.
It is lazy and at times irresponsible “journalism” to seek to attribute City’s success to cheating, financial doping etc. etc.
Compare 2012- 2016 with 2017 to date and the Pep influence jumps out as the principal reason. As many have said on here, we all realise this current period of so called dominance will likely end when Pep leaves.
In the meantime Arse, u****d, l*******l could do worse than try to emulate the City model instead of whinging about how unfair it all is.

In any case the pundits are so often laughably wrong, hypocritical and inconsistent I’d worry if they suddenly start praising City.

The above is a long winded way of telling them to f*** off.

Absolutely spot on mate. These hacks seem to know f*ck all about tactics, formation tweaks or the recovery process and concentrate on how they can slam VAR and the referee and generally ignore protocol if it doesn’t suit there narrative.

Social Media for these people it seems has just served to totally destroy any objectivity, impartiality they may have once had and has generally reduced them into glorified propagandists for their chosen team or teams.

For years the right teams were winning and everything was how it should be. Something tells me that’s not really been the case for a while.
The coverage on Amazon prime is much more intelligent. BT has been embarrassing since it started. It is shocking to listen to people like McManaman. He played at the highest level but has no awareness of the tactical side of football. Mind you he was a very one-dimensional player.

I've listened to 3 pods with more to follow at some point.

1. Guardian with Ronay, Brewin and Glendenning
Critical of BT
Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
Mane was a red card.
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all.

2. Totally Football with Storey, Bardell and Sasha someone( liverpool fan who actually posts on RAWK)

Critical of BT
Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
Mane was a red card.
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all except the Liverpool fan on the ref/VAR

3. Times - Alyson Rudd and a couple of others

Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all except Liverpool fan Rudd on the ref/Var who was talking so much bollocks and no understanding of how VAR works.

Overall not too bad and the criticism of BT pleasing and also as predicted by Ahsan on 93:20.

Alyson Rudd cannot possibly be as stupid as she comes across , can she ?

If so, it just proves what a genuine dipper supporter she is,

This is all after the event and overwhelming evidence in favour of officials/City. They were not prepared to give us the benefit of doubt or view it neutrally at the relevant time. The Arsenal players whining, the fcuk would Ramsdale have seen from his box to plead his side hardship and injustice. Media should tackle that first.
