I couldn't care less about this latest media witch hunt.
It's akin to being a supporter of Labour and expecting a fair treatment from the overwhelmingly Tory press.

The allegations have been knocking around in public for years but DS listed three specific ones which were said to be the main part of the PL investigation: state funding (the Simon Pearce email); under-aged players' contracts (Sancho); and Mancini's consultancy work in the UAE in 2009. The PL have never said precisely what they were investigating. DS stated it as fact based on documents they have obtained so I don't think it is speculation. The story has not been denied by the PL either.

Maybe Project River can clarify but I thought there was a statute of limitations on allegations in order to protect the viability of a business I.e. MCFC. This shit is banging on about some stuff over a decade ago. Also if it’s accurate then it’s either been leaked or hacked.

A third-party company called Aramark supplied workers for Red Sox games at Fenway Park, but they lost their health insurance after not working the number of hours required. Of course, with no baseball being played, it was impossible, as they couldn’t go to work!

Aramark have been urged to lower their hourly threshold, but with no decision forthcoming, much of the heat has been deflected to the mega-rich Red Sox, who rely on the workers at games, but have been slow to help them in their time of need.

Their baseball team used apple watches to send messages to players in the game, which is strictly against the rules.
They were firmly behind the team wearing shirts in support of Suarez after his racist outburst against Evra.
Illegal approach to VVD, followed by a grovelling apology to Southampton and a promise to drop their interest in him. Signed the following transfer window.

Finally, The Times referred to the hacking scandal as 'the biggest incident of alleged misbehaviour by one top flight club to another in the Premier League's history.'

Not sure what string they are hoping will unravel, but Mancini's renumeration is irrelevant unless they believe the same alleged payments have been made to Pellegrini and Pep?

You would think one of the intrepid football hacks might ask the PL if they are conducting an internal investigation into how a German magazine obtained details of their evidence. The judge at the Court of Appeal ruled that broad legal arguments from City and the PL should be published in public (both sides wanted them kept private) but she stressed that details of the underlying dispute ie evidence from both sides should not be made public at this stage. So who leaked the PL details to Der Spiegel in breach of a Judge's ruling?

Agreed. The Mancini thing is totally bizarre. I thought he had essentially been paid a retainer in advance of him getting the City job. So what? That's not illegal and it happened before FFP existed. It just seems like total bollocks and it happened 13 years ago!

So much pain.

For me, this pretty much confirms the source of his bias: the support of another team. It's the same lazy bollocks spouted by LFC fans, and to a lesser extent, United supporters.

He missed out the key reason why we have the highest revenues: we are the most successful team, from the most popular league, over the last decade. It's hardly rocket science. Shirt sponsors don't solely base their valuations on shirts sold. Many millions of people see our shirts every week on TV, billboards, social media etc.. I don't think the ability to see 10k shirts over several months, let's say compared to 1k, on the streets of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, really matters that much. Of course, he thinks success more than 10 years ago is far more important for building revenues. Almost as if he is comparing us to the team he supports.

For him it is about emotion, ignoring rationality and cogency. He's not a journalist. He's a second rate fanzine writer who thinks using Excel gives him credibility.
