Patronising, condescending twat
You've posted opinions to this effect before and I've agreed wholeheartedly, as I do again now. One might expect, if they had anything about them, that the members of the WhatsApp group would seriosly question themselves in the light of their CAS debacle, but instead they've doubled down with the addition of extra rancour and resentment.

What makes me laugh is their arrogance, thinking that they're cleverer than their readers. In percentage terms, they probably have academic credentials that surpass the large majority of their audience - but certainly not all. Someone like Stefan from the 9320 pod puts them to shame in terms of a capacity for analytical thinking. Delaney in particular should be refusing to venture out in public these days without a bag over his head such should be his shame at his reaction to Stefan's article that prefigured the CAS ruling.

I, on the other hand, take pride in the response of educated and knowledgeable City fans to the UEFA ban and subsequent CAS appeal ruling. It showed once and for all which side knew their stuff and which was comprised of a set of intellectually compromised, know-nothing, gaslighting cunts.
I wouldn’t say Delaney has academic credentials that surpass the large majority of his paper’s audience. I would say he’d be a below average reader of the Independent, intelligence wise. This is manifest from his inability to understand or appreciate relatively complex issues and his poorly developed critical thinking. It’s all relative, of course, but from where I’m standing, he’s more than a bit thick.

Still alive here....
This is why this thread is great and important. Apart from positive City articles, which let's be honest are few and far between, it allows us to highlight the stupidity of the Scouse (and Rag) infested media and social media. If you want to watch the video Google it. No link.

Appreciate that mate, the best of times ;)

Andy Dunn, Dave Maddock, Darren Lewis, Phil Thomas, Tony Livesey, Alan Nixon, all Sunday Sporters...

Incredible sports desk.
A mate who worked there as a callow trainee was given the job of reviewing some hardcore porn videos on his very first morning. Had to watch them in Livesey’s office as the latter had personally commandeered the only VCR player in the place. Excruciating first day at work!

It’ll never change. Our Cartel-backing, City-hating, xenophobic/racist anti-Emirati/Arabic media will continue to lie slander libel defame criticise and drag our club name through the mud forever.

For those who get upset and angered by it, I don’t know why they bother. Liverpool and United will always be the media darlings and we will never be so it will never change. Nothing we ever say or do will ever change that. We will always be Manchester City the Sheikh will always be an Emirati. Even if the Sheikh sold his stake in the club, City will still be the threat to the Cartel so the anti-City agenda would never end.

By clicking on their articles, posting them on here, linking videos and advertising their shit, our support is actively promoting and adding revenue to their anti-City bollocks.

I personally don’t get upset or angered by it. I don’t want to be liked or accepted by the Cartel and their media or the Yanks. I want City to be an anti-mainstream sub-culture club. Every win and every trophy is that bit sweeter knowing all the people who hate us will be squirming with hate that we’ve won again.

The day I stopped caring was when Buzzer was on Super Sunday for the Manchester derby when he said,

What that video doesn’t show was Dwight Yorke and the presenter laughing at him after he said that… and to top it off, Buzzer has never been invited back on by Sky since. Yet Yorke’s laughter was shown up a year later with the 1-6 and from that moment on, that shut the door on the media for me.

Fuck ’em!

Whilst never’s a very long time mate I certainly get your point, I think Buzzers smug look at the end of the video said it all, no words needed.

I have no idea who Neil Jones is but I'm happy to leave him wallowing in his thoughts, far away from reality.

According to the article Haaland isn't even a leading talent in his position. I bet they have to whistle on the crapper just to make sure they wipe the right end.
Love that metaphor.

I know we've been over this before but it still astonishes me that outside of Martin Samuel and our local hack Stuart Brennan, none of the other fuckwit journalists ever paid any attention to City's repeated statements that we weren't guilty and would prove it at CAS, or to the likes of Stefan and the other knowledgeable blues who clearly knew their stuff. The fact that we got more support from the likes of Neville and Souness speaks volumes for me. Even Alan Brazil of all fucking people highlighted what City were saying one morning on Talkshite when he had Martyn Ziegler on the phone in the wake of UEFA banning us. I consider Ziegler to be one of the better ones out there but when Brazil said to him "What about City's statement that they have irrefutable evidence that they're not guilty - surely that counts for something?", Ziegler didn't even bother addressing the question.

And it's not just limited to Ziegler and the WhatsApp group. A mate forwarded me a very long-winded article from The Athletic about the upcoming CAS hearing, and how City might go about presenting our case, showing a variety of different scenarios. To be fair, a lot of work had clearly gone into it but it missed the target so many times it was untrue. I can't remember all the details but one example they used was that we might simply go down the route of whataboutery - that PSG never got sanctioned when UEFA were investigating them (the occasion when UEFA missed their own deadline for action) so why should we? Or that we might try and get off on some vague technicality or other, with accompanying comments from lawyers as to how likely or unlikely we would succeed. Yet at no point until the very end of the article did they focus on City's statement regarding irrefutable evidence of no wrongdoing (the one thing that the article should've been built around), instead focusing on several hypothetical scenarios that had no relevance to City's statement. Laughably, when they did get round to that it just looked like it had been tagged on as an afterthought: "Of course, City have said they have irrefutable evidence of no wrongdoing and we will have to wait to find out what that evidence is, so none of the above may apply anyway"

keep saying it, Uefa got shown to be the incompetent corrupt football administration by City and not a single person in the media came out to highlight this. Then some ticketless scousers rock up at a champions league final and get roughed up by the French police, all of a sudden the entire world wants Uefa being trialed at The Hague and burnt at the stake.
The sheer incompetence of UEFA in our case defied belief. They were certainly corrupt (compare the PSG case at the same time) and Leterme actually boasted about ignoring our fully documented defence. You would have thought just one journo would comment on this but: no, this is City, bloody Arabs can’t be trusted. Even Martin Samuel got it all wrong.
Leaks to Panja did not come from UEFA, oh no.

When we were cleared, they all said it was the end of ffp as though our successful appeal was somehow problematic.
I wrote to Henry Winter pointing out how his analysis was badly flawed and he replied that, since he had criticised both parties, he must have got it right. Jeez. He didn’t even know that the clocked stopped running once UEFA had laid their “charges”, nor that one of the complaints covered a period before ffp.
