Even if this article can be seen as the ‘wokerati’ at work, it does not mean that he isn‘t right. Comparisons with The Gunners aren’t entirely valid as guns can also be used to defend the country and a gun isn’t ‘arguably’ a symbol of a centuries long genocide - and even if a technical connection with bad things can also be made, it doesn’t make the ship any better.

At the end of the day it isn’t the biggest issue facing the clubs at present (especially United) but on reflection I would rather see the bee than the ship.

Guns are only built for one thing - to kill people - and without which we wouldn't have been able to colonise the world or exterminate indigenous people - where as ships are designed to transport things (include slaves and products from slavery).

Ships don't produce slavery people do that, Guns are specifically unequivocally designed for the sole purpose of killing people.

That said I don't think the article is particularly anti-city, nor have I ever considered the ship on the badge in the context of slavery. As a white man, I have no idea if or how this imagery impacts decendents of slavery. But as a human I have an understanding of the role of firearms in history and looking at America the role they still play.

One saying it’s Edersons worst season. One where Pep says we are not playing BM!s history.

Yep there is a negative slant, but that story is about Pep fucking up in Europe so they're within their rights to point out them out. They're praying for us to fuck up tonight. However, it's a win win situation for them. If we lose, great they can slag Pep, if we lose they get to replay last season's monumental meltdown v Madrid. They'll be loving this.

They had to win the last game of the season to win the league in ‘99 and were 1-0 down. They only ended up with 79 points.
