Jonathan Wilson being classic Jonathan Wilson in today's Guardian.

What a sad, bitter little weasel that wanker is.

"City have won four of the past five titles. They have scored 20 times in four home league games this season. The question English football has to ask itself is: are they doing this because of the unique gifts of this particular manager and this particular set of players (and perhaps the ineptitude or questionable priorities of certain other owners who might financially compete)? Is this a golden age, like Arsenal in the 30s, Liverpool in the 80s or United in the 90s, that will be celebrated as such by decades to come?

Or is there something more insidious at work, a financial determinism that, by relegating football itself behind foreign-policy objectives and profit, erodes the game?"
Jonathan Wilson is a shite eating nonce.

He's asked a question which is incredibly easy to answer...

Is this a golden age, like Arsenal in the 30s, Liverpool in the 80s or United in the 90s, that will be celebrated as such by decades to come?
Answer: Yes if you're a general fan of football or involved in the game at any level.

Or is there something more insidious at work, a financial determinism that, by relegating football itself behind foreign-policy objectives and profit, erodes the game?
Answer: Yes, if you are so invested in your bias towards clubs who were successful in the period you were growing up that you are unable to form a rational judgement - even if it's your highly-paid job to do so.

He doesn't realise how close he has come in writing that article to an epiphany.

It's staggeringly shit masquerading as analysis. As we get better these twats get shittier. there's so much wrong with this.
1. Who said the Rags and dippers dominance was a "Golden Age" for football? Who's fucking celebrating it decades afterwards other than sad bellends and Baconface? It was 2 teams who were far better than their opposition and in part that was because they played great football and had some of the best players. They had more money because of their success and dominated. It came to an end just like ours will at some point (although I hope not for many years yet).
2. The financial stuff was proved to be crap by that simple Sky graphic of the rags spending more than us. Also, no owner investment for years - we have money because we are successful and well run.
3. Instead of celebrating and revelling in the joy and wonderful football Pep has brought they are sad and bitter but more to the point, they can't understand how City have done it - the strategy and planning etc.
As bad as it is all this Media Bollocks feeds into Peps Psych that he’s battling against the “system” and he loves it!! It’s all reminiscent of the Catalonia/ Espana thing and I reckon he thrives on it.

So what about his salary. The top in their field get top wages, in all walks of life.
Panja chatting the same shit
Conveniently ignoring the fact united had the haunted waxwork, casemiro, martial, shaw, fred, lindelof on the bench yesterday. £230m for that load of shit. £850-900k a week on wages for the first two alone
Our bench cost less
