If Liverpool owners didn't take so much money out of the club, they are more than capable of competing with us financially, our income levels are very similar.

Rags were chanting Chelsea rent boy at Wio who they dispised for trying to join Chelsea. People of my generation are far less shocked by homophobic abuse as we grew up with it. Society is becoming so sanitised now that calling Chelsea fans rent boys is seen as homophobic abuse.

I remember a ridiculously overblown documentary presented by the tragic Justin Fashanu’s niece a few years ago exploring homophobia in football. One manifestation of this prejudice that she was keen to highlight and condemn was away fans at Brighton singing “does your boyfriend know you’re here” and “we can see you holding hands”.

Not offensive to anybody sensible regardless of their sexuality I would imagine but I wouldn’t risk singing that at a match these days - some busy little woke snowflake would have given your seat details to the Offended Hotline before you got home.
