so what do we do ? We can't just let them waltz in , look after them give them a lovely lunch and then let them print lies and falsehoods. We need to identify who these weasels are and confront them on their journalism. If they dont listen, ban them. Or is that too simplistic or unrealistic ?

Just stop them at the main entrance and tell them their press pass has been revoked. Simples!!!

People legitimately upset here that meaningless preseason friendlies played in the middle of the night that weren't even on TV only warranted one article in the BBC? I mean, come on.
City received exactly the coverage that the match warranted. However the fact that the BBC sent a dedicated reporter to follow United around the world like a bad smell was certainly not justified.

Contrast and compare to the article about Sheikh Mansour, City, MCC, Manchester Life, and East Manchester from the Guardian.

Contrast and compare.

The London champagne socialists like this article.

Hahahahahaha that’s hilarious

You only went and made me look the article up since you didn't give a summary but it's actually not their usual total nonsense. It's about how we've strengthened Arsenal & Chelsea whilst strengthening ourselves, and it's not wrong (stopped clocks and all that mind).
It is perhaps the only recorded example of the Echo suggesting something might not be in the Dippers favour, so a very unusual article.

However is is still standard Echo fare in that they are

1. Complaining
it is somehow unfair that we have sold 3 players with Klopp being quoted as saying we had 'given' their rivals these players

2. Completely illogical argument
If we have strengthened our top 6 rivals then it is surely just as much a problem for us as it is for the Dippers, as we both have to play them the same number of times in a season. Why does it make it more difficult for the Dippers in particular?
Also they think it is unfair when we buy top quality players so how can it also be unfair when we sell 3 top quality players???

And the biggest investor in the former Olympics site is the Qatari Investment Authority which has invested £40bn in central London alone. It makes Sheikh Mansour's housing deal look like chicken-feed. Meanwhile London has one of the worst shortages of affordable housing in the world with 250,000 on the waiting list. But, of course, it's all ok because it is happening in London where most of the Guardian posh boys live.

No mention of the cost of the London Olympics. No mention of the cost of the London Olympic Stadium. No mention of the cost of the London Olympic Stafium refit for West Ham. No mention of the piece meal rent West Ham pay for the London Stadium. No mention of the price of any land deals or financial returns.

London’s Olympic Village has been sold for 557 million pounds to a Delancey and Qatari Diar joint venture, leaving taxpayers to pay about 275 million pounds linked to the development of the site.

On Thursday, Reuters reported Delancey and Qatari Diar had bought the Olympic Village. Qatari Diar is the property arm of Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund.

Sadiq Khan launched the inquiry after it emerged that the cost of completing the works had risen by an extra £50 million.

Work to turn the centrepiece of the 2012 Games into a football ground – including the overhaul of the roof and the addition of 21,000 retractable seats – was originally estimated at £154 million. That figure later rose to £272 million, partly due to the complexity of adapting the huge cantilevered roof. Now it has emerged that the revised total cost is nearer to £323 million, with reports that the cost of the new seating had risen from an estimated £300,000 to £8 million.

It is understood West Ham FC contributed just £15 million towards the conversion costs and that the rest of the £752 million cost of building the arena and subsequently making it fit for football has been met by the taxpayer.

West Ham paid a £15mill contribution to converting the Olympic stadium. West Ham pay £2.5mill a year to lease the Olympic Stadium. (City pay £4mill a year, which goes back to the residents of Manchester, on a 250 year lease on the Etihad Stadium)

Because that cult believes that the entire planet revolves around them and them alone

I hope the drill is to say nothing and close the door Incidentally you can write to the BBC and withdraw their and any agents working on their behalf “implied right of access“ to your property I wouldn’t worry on anyone turning up they have been loosing 5k license payers a week
