Just seen the ssn app about Klopp not writing Liverpool's season off yet, fairly enough but the sky journo then writes about Liverpool winning 7 MAJOR trophies in the last three years. He's surely not counting the community shield in this is he?

We were 3 games away from a Quadruple in 20-21 and 4 games away from a Quadruple in 18-19. Pep is a god..

I've said for 50-odd years that the shower across town has been the subject of such levels of veneration from the media that I've always expected their results to be read out on 'Grandstand' and 'Final Score' a la:

'Norwich City 1, The Legend That Is Manchester United 2' and so on and so on..

As in your post, it seems to me that The Anfield Road Formation Brick Throwers have benefited from similar, inflated media veneration over recent years. This has driven the narrative of Liverpool's recently created image, which is not only intended to encourage profitable click-bait responses for the media but also diminish City's considerable achievements under Guardiola.

None of it is warranted, not least because what MIGHT have happened for Liverpool actually DIDN'T happen..
