If the Qatari's buy the Rags it will put the media in a untenable position , they either back track over our ownership , human rights / sportswashing etc., or they vilify the new Rag owners like they have done to ADUG for 15 years , stick or twist .
Either way they will look like the hypocrites we know the media is infested with , if the Qatari's succeed and buy the Rags , how the media squirm out of this situation is going to be interesting and of great comedic value.

Good oil money vs bad oil money
Coming to a sports section “news” headline near you.

Abu Dhabi falsely claimed oil fields rightly owned by Qatar. No official protest has been made to the United Nations by Qatar. But a test case with The Premier League has concluded that the only suitable recompense is to give Manchester United all of Manchester City’s honours since 2012. The panel, comprising of Sir Alex Ferguson, Mike Riley and Sam Lee were unanimous in their verdicts. Plans are now in place to expunge Abu Dhabi from the map.

The RTs as a club reflect their ex players like Neville - slag Qater off- get on your moral high horse - then take their money.
It’s a perfect example of what they’ve been accusing us of. People like Neville and Jordan slate us off and then have to continue their opinion when it came to the Qatar WC. Qatar see this as a threat and invite one to be a paid shill while the other gets a private audience with a member of the Qatari Royal Family. I wonder what White and Jordan were promised?

Immediately following those 2 interventions, their narrative changed and all of a sudden Qatar’s reputation is no longer lambasted but one of a progressive nature that now needs to be nurtured.

They can try to bullshit themselves but in reality they a just capitalist hungry, hypocritical shills.

They’ve already segregated Qatar from United by focussing on an individual rather than the state. Just like they segregate Etihad or Saudi Telecom, choosing not to mention it thus allowing them the opportunity to not have a go at the Red tops.

I don't think you understand the difference. This Al Thani chap just happens to be a Qatari and member of the Qatari ruling family. He could just as easily have been Australian or Moroccan. He's going to spend at least quadruple his net worth, which is a drop in the ocean to him. Nothing to see.

Whereas Sheikh Mansour is clearly a puppet for his brother and the Abu Dhabi state. Hope that makes it clear.

Now that is “sportswashing”

But Qatar has an bigger population and has extracted more barrels of oil from the ground over a much longer period, Abu Dhabi were strictly 2nd division in the Oil production stakes until they made a huge black gold strike around 2008. Also they are bitter frackers.

Is that the Mansour who bought City with his small change?

Not really.

Owners Test

Q; who is the bestest player ever
A; Giggsy

Correct, you have passed the owners test.
Q Who was also voted illegitimate cross eyed brother of the year, a world record breaking seven years in a row by MUTV viewers?
Q What is another name for a music concerty?
Q ______bytes is an electronic measurement unit?

Yep when the lights go on and the beer goggles clear enough for you to realise that you have bagged a munter but she is up for it, so ya shrug your shoulders and man up !

Could be worse, the music stops and for the first time you hear her speak in a horrible squeaky scouse accent.
