If he had more brain cells he might have realised that City Football Group has also invested in countries like China, Uruguay, Brazil, and even Mumbai. This wouldn't make any sense if our only motive was to deflect attention away from human rights abuses. The entire concept of "sportswashing" is false. It was invented by PR firms working for Human Rights charities as a way of attracting attention to their cause.
The sportwashing that didn't exist when Shinawatra was chairman.

Alex Scott on BBC football focus asking Nedum, where should United play Gashfoot to cause the most problems to City, reminds me of the press question asked to Pep, on how do you stop Haaland.

IIRC Noel was referring to the last 5 years of City spending much less than most other clubs. City have been self sufficient and in profit since 2014.
He was, thanks for pointing my error out.
Probably why the Management (ADUG) watched their spending as a result of our owner telling them to manage their own finances.

As I understand it, they believe our accounts were fraudulent in the early years, so any carry forward to the following years will also be fraudulent
That would be very hard to prove in court imo

So I think the charges don't really have legs to stand on

We might as well pack up our bags boys, forget todays game, get on the plane to Istanbul and concentrate on next Saturday.

Well that is my reading from listening to various pundits and journos on 3 radio stations this morning. Nearly all are tipping a Utd win based upon United's recent great form and our last two results. They all believe United will counter attack us to death to preserve their legacy!!!

"all set... For a theatre of dreams!"

That's really underappreciating yourself, a theatre is like a 1,000 capacity venue and a stadium is like in the 10,000s.

This videogame based buildup Auntie Beeb is doing is cringe of the highest order.

That's an interesting question and one that deserves a better response than one on cup final day, and, as I am frequently reminded in here, I am no lawyer. :) But IMO, it isn't the accounts that are fraudulent, it is the accounting for a particular issue that could be fraudulent which leads to accounts not giving a true and fair view. So I think it is more likely they have problems with specific issues which between them, cover all of the years. Mancini 2011-2014 I think? Fordham 2013-2018? Etihad 2009-2018 of course.

On the other hand, I think they are wholly wrong about the accounts not giving a true and fair view, so I think it's all bullshit anyway.

I should imagine united will just leave Rashford up front in a offside position because that rule doesnt apply for him!
