More hypocrisy from the media on this. Young lad, one of the brightest prospects in the game and English...we should want him in our league. But nope, applaud him for making La Liga more marketable. Yet Haaland, in one breath brilliant because he is world class and in the prem (a rarity coming at that stage rather than leaving), in another "when's he off to Madrid".

These top players can go where they want unless it is City. Because our money is tainted. It wasn't earned via what was essentially a super league of sorts when it was formed - the premiership - with its dramatic increase in revenue streams. That's what led to the rags breaking transfer records and funnily enough attracted foreign investment as our native businessmen struggled to compete or indeed went bust.

Wilson is a decent writer and his football knowledge is pretty deep in some areas. The type of stuff that works better in books and isn't wanted much in newspapers.

He was a decent writer and yes his football knowledge has depth in many interesting aspects based on my reading of The Bilzzard magazine. However he is clearly no longer a decent writer after this special piece a couple of years ago

My politics are left of centre but still still check right wings news sources,bbc. Fail, telegraph. Used to read ronay at guardian as I enjoy his writing style but not read for months as the agenda is tedious and have prob missed some good reading. Guardian is meant to be left but is quite racist, read lots and form a view. Let poster's put links on you don't have to click.
