Over 120,000 British citizens are currently living in the United Arab Emirates.

There are over 5,000 British companies operating there, including BP, Rolls Royce, BAES, Mott McDonald, SERCO, Standard Chartered, HSBC and Waitrose. 779 commercial agencies and 4,762 British brands have invested in the UAE.

88% of the country's residents come from abroad.

Around 510,000 westerners live in the UAE, the country is home to over 200 nationalities.

The UAE is a major tourist destination, around 1.5 million British nationals visit every year. Tourism statistics for the country show that around 25.28 million people visited the UAE in 2019, expected to rise to 27.3 million by 2028.

So what, precisely, are our owners sportswashing? The rest of the world considers the UAE a great place to work, live and vacation and that includes workers on the construction sites from the Indian sub continent, who choose the UAE over any other Gulf state.

In polls conducted in the Middle East and North Africa, the UAE is consistently voted by fellow Arabs the number one most desirable place to work, live and visit.

And yet it's City fans that are deluded.

Said this countless times. Asked this countless times? What are they washing? Football is minuscule in their role in the World.

Just the thought that football authorities have the nerve to moralise about anything.

Slimy bastards ;)

I remember some years ago reds on social media suggesting Khaldoon should meet urgently with Ed Woodwood over some issue - so trivial I’ve forgotten what it was. At the time, Khaldoon was attending the opening of a $20bn nuclear power plant that his Company had built or financed in the Far East.
These clowns just don’t get it - they think football is a major industry. Morons.

I actually can't remember hearing a non Manc/Greater Manchester accent all day. I know there must have been supporters from other parts of the Blue family, in fact I saw a Barnsley Blues and Cheltenham & Gloucester Branch flag at some point. Everybody around me was South or North Manchester inside too. Manchester takeover from Manchester.

A journalist for the Hindustan Times wrote a decent piece in our defence despite making the Quatari error.

The line that caught my eye was;

'Sportswashing' is a fancy term to describe the white man's loss of hegemony.

Ouch.

Edit: it's the western arrogance that gets me. Businessmen from the Middle East are looking to make money by using their experience to build up a sector that has some community importance in the UK. That can't be right. They must be up to something. Oh yes, laundering the poor reputations that we think they have in the west judged against our own belief system. It's mindbogglingly judgemental. And completely arrogant.

He's a grade a cock and the police have a word for what him and Delaney are doing.

Incitement.
If cunts had wings this twat would be squadron leader. I would urge all City fans to not give his fire the oxygen, fuel or heat it needs to burn. Don’t read or listen to his prejudiced, biased opinions and you can’t then enter into dialogue with the prick
Trust me he loves the attention he’s like some old queen hanging around public toilets hoping for a hook up. Ignore him he’ll move on

All you need know to about the media is there for all to see when they shout lies from the rooftops with maga-phones, and when caught out, apologise with a whisper in the basement.

There were over 200k City fans at the parade last Monday. I was one of them. The place was rammed. We couldn't get anywhere near Deansgate. The side roads leading to it were rammed also. Mossely St where the trams crossed the parade route was dangerously full as trams were literally squeezing past people. They had to let fans down the parade route, myself included to ease congestion. No chance of getting anywhere near the stage area either. I've seen some pictures circling of a previous parade in Deansgate where we had just two busses and there were much less fans, these are being peddled by desperate rags and scousers as being taken last Monday. Not the case. Last Monday the City centre was packed.
That is a very accurate account, exactly how I described it. Especially letting fans down the parade route to ease congestion as fans were rammed on the tracks. All the police were great bar 2 , a short arse scruffy male and a female who drew their batons against families with kids and completely harmless folk. Only one fan acting daft. All the other coppers used common sense after these 2 pillocks moved on.
