On a side note, your SON bought the full kit?? Your either giving him too much pocket money, or he's too old to buy a full kit...
He's only 12 he doesn't get pocket money, (we're too mean), but gets a bit of money for Christmas and birthdays. He usually saves his money. Buying his Bony kit was out of his savings and was the first time he has ever spent his saved money.

If anyone knows of a number I could ring the club on could you pm me, thanks

Whilst I don't mind helping out, is it really that hard to look? ;O)
Did you really have to ask? ;)

is this a really dry and unfunny attempt at fishing??

how on earth do you know you were in the first 50? you say you cant believe as a competition winner you havent been contacted but how on earth do you know youve won???

why are you asking us?????

why am i getting involved?¬!!
Part of my job is replying to e-mails from people who enter on-line competitions, these are competitions that have literally hundreds of thousands of entries. Yet we every week we'll get e-mails stating that they entered the competition but missed a phone call while out, and they're absolutely certain that they won and want us to phone them back to confirm.

I couldn't answer your last question though.

Re: Meet Wilfried Bony, Club changes original promise

The world is populated with fannys.

Purchasing a shirt pretty quickly after it's released doesn't guarantee you were in the first 50 to buy one. It's safe to say that when a club buys a striker, for £25m+, that shirts with his name on will be quite popular, especially if buying said shirt soon enough (i.e. in the first 50 people) guarantees you will meet the player himself. It's always possible you were number 51, or 52, or 389 for that matter. Guess how you can find out? Helpful hint, it isn't by moaning about how poorly treated you've assumed you've been treated on a website.

Call customer services, explain the situation. Ask them to confirm/deny whether you are indeed one of the first 50 to buy the shirt. They may not know initially (it's information probably not readily available to whoever is manning the phones) but they should be able to find out.

Of course, it's always possible your assumptions, as that's what they are at this point, are correct and the original competition has indeed been binned. If so then that's unfortunate, and pretty poor from City. Jumping to that conclusion without confirming that A - You are indeed in the first 50/a winner, and B - That City have indeed canned the offer, isn't going to endear you to too many. One would assume, if you were so bothered by this that you posted on here, and replied multiple times to posts in this thread, that you could have used that time to actually contact City and find out what is really going on!

Thanks for that. All the numbers in that "directory" seem to be the same main switchboard number.

I can see it being a long call ;)

what a surreal thread , the OP has entered a competition , and presumed he has won it , with no confirmation from the club , he comes on a forum to complain about the club he supports before contacting the club and without the relevant facts , and then cant be arsed to find the club contact phone number to resolve his issue .Then comments , it could be a long phone call which could possible make a dream come true for his son , is this a f*cking wind up.

It's absurd isn't it. Only on Bluemoon.

Why? All you do is press the numbers they give you and you are connected to whoever you need to be connected to! The only time it might be a long call is when you are ringing for popular tickets and that is not likely in this case as that is a dedicated number (in terms of press 1, 2 etc.)

Why be angry with the club when you are obviously too bemused (won't say lazy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well all right I said it) to do something about it before coming on a public forum? Man up and get on the phone!!! Or even email customer/supporter services. If I remember correctly their email is on the website.

Re: Meet Wilfried Bony, Club changes original promise

This thread is comedy gold. Someone assumes that because they bought a shirt quickly, they've won a competition that they haven't been told they've won and that the club is welching on a promise. Then instead of speaking to the club, the OP comes on here and doesn't seem to have the nous to work out how to find a phone number so he can contact them.

I simply refuse to believe that anyone could be so stupid (although I've been on here long enough to know they can) so I've just been looking at other threads the OP has started:

The one before this was this one, complaining about the City annual:
<a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=308908" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=308908</a>

The one before that was about Jovetic being injured for Montenegro so that's OK but the one before that was this one, complaining about our failure to practice penalties for the pre-season USA tournament:
<a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=304111" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=304111</a>

Back in 2013 there was this classic, complaining that the club shop didn't stock enough wall posters and how did we expect to pass FFP if we didn't stock a selection of wall poster: <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=292859" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=292859</a>

I'm thinking the OP is a very clever WUM and he's sucked quite a few of you in with this.

Perhaps a ban hammer is in the offering ? ;)
