who do you think is a better cash cow? the proper footy fan lads and lasses who campaign for cheaper tickets who will roar the team on? or the bored families with 2 kids who have disposable income who need to shut little johnny up with a trip to the soccer? it's a sad fact that in comes hand in hand with our modern brand of 'football'.

It's the fans who keep on supporting the club no matter which enables the club to put structures in place to run a sustainable club.

It's sponsorship and owner investment that enables clubs to play with the big boys.

A lot of these fans are sick of the match day experience shit, ticket prices, pink LED's blasting out in your eyes, loud PA system, Showsec, no standing, shit atmosphere, over paid players, no beer at certain games, early leavers, Ipads, JCL's, blah blah blah

oh and moaning old cunts like me

Same point was made by some else the other week so I aint spending any more time on it. I'll keep it simple:

All of the bits in bold have been around for a while, some have existed before a rich owner bought us, but all can be fixed.

For example, to stop people bringing iPads to the ground United recently used bomb threats as an excuse to keep them out of the ground. Perhaps some Blues on here need to tell the club their views instead of posting on here.

Plenty do ....like me for example with the 1894 group in the 1894 suite. Or when the club used to hold Q and A sessions and even at supporters meetings. (Players don't go nowadays)

Nothing will change anytime soon. The club doesn't listen to us in reality.

If you read my posts you will see that I have noticed this going on for years and that it's nothing new (Pink LED's aside)

(PS I wouldn't threaten to bomb fans to prevent Ipads)
JOKE!! I knew what you meant.

yus, my point was that there is a global fan base to appeal to keep that money coming in and the fact is there are more people who get off on the Disneyland approach than those who remember pre-Premier League

It's half term, tickets were £1 for kids, this is something City often do for the League Cup, that's why it was Disney Land last night.

Yes I've seen families for even big games like the recent Tottenham match up in level 3, but my point is if the Club sorts out a proper seating structure when the ground expansion is finalised then it's problem solved.

Aye, I didn't mean anyone who is part of that great group. But all to often I see people moaning on here, and not once have I seen a Change.org petition to go with their thread or post.

I know the club don't listen much either, but like I say, my final judgement of the clubs attitude to the fans will be made the season after the groun expansion project is complete.

The club don't want to know, how long have fans been asking for the away fans to be moved out of sight?

Well I would really like to thank you all for contributing on this wonderful thread and being part of the experience. Your comments mean so much to me and the club and you can be assured that we will be feeding all of this back to the club.
I hope you have a very pleasant evening and thank you for coming to this event.

See you all soon, have a great day.

Again, when the expansion is complete this will be made clear. I've heard it can't be done with the current ground design due to Health and Safety and GMP, but based on the designs for the expansion, if those away fans are not fucked off out of the way then yes, City really do not want to know.

I used to go to Points of Blue and this subject came up constantly. Peter Fletcher made it clear that the away fans wouldn't be moved as the club (and supposedly GMP) wanted a "sterile zone" for the away fans to reach their coaches parked behind the South Stand. He also said the away fans liked having this but which other grounds have that? Well, now the whole fucking ground is a "sterile zone".

Exactly this.
Which why I feel sorry for the 1894 group. Until this happens they are pissing in the wind.
Don't hold your breath.
