It's pretty clear we now have some highly qualified and highly paid marketing guru's employed by the club who need to justify their inflated salaries.
These Meeters & Greeters are just complete and total fluff.
It's rather sad actually that some people within the club feel that this type of stuff is necessary and important when in reality it is utter bollocks.

Went to a NY Yankees game last year where they were giving out free baseball bats (real ones) as you entered the stadium.

Yankees lost, and. on our way out staff were at the gates wishing us well and hoping we "enjoyed the game". My lad was perplexed " how can they enjoy the game when they've lost?"

I just worried about them giving out baseball bats. What next?

I hope you taught him that it's not all about winning?

Nope, just confirmation that I was bringing him up right, The world doesn't end when we lose, but there is no reason to enjoy it.

Has someone invented time travel? These meeters and greeters were annoying old gits like me on Joe Mercer Way last season and possibly the season before that.
It's bollox of course, not as cringeworthy as the "This City" shite shown before every game but bollox nonetheless.
And don't get me started on the bright pink or yellow bloody adverts.
And fucking half 'n' half scarves for a poxy League Cup 4th Round game; what's that all about?
And here's a heads up for you; on Sunday a half 'n' half Chavs/rags shirt was seen at the swamp, and on Saturday a half 'n' half Hull/Scouse shirt was photographed in the away bit at Klanfield. - Could we see some of those at our place? Actually I'm surprised we didn't when Barcelona were in town given the way some creamed their jeans over the game.

That would be a great idea on Sunday!

Apparently so, if you adopt the American model... and we seem to be quite keen on that ( as do Wembley Stadium "welcome to Wembley" over and over again).

Please leave me alone, i want to watch the game in my own little world- just as I always have done.
