Disbanded in December 1913. Is there some 100 year expiration rule on using a trademark in Australia?

MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

Wonder why we only bought 80% is there a rule that don't allow 100% buy out

Same reason as why we only went for 80% in New York. It creates a partnership with the other 'owners' who can provide knowledge of the local sporting environment. Good business.

I don't think so - more of a partnership thing. Rugby is the bigger sport there...its smart to partner with a local rugby team in the same we we did with the Yankees. Tap into their expertise and possibly fan base, get buy in, share interests etc.

Ah right...

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

It would be cool if we just changed the red of their home kit to sky blue, it would look Argentina-esque. They would get over it after a bit, just like we got over changing our kit from black to royal blue (or whatever the correct shade is) and then to sky blue eh lads

I suppose this means I have to follow them now and ditch the Phoenix.

City ruining the A-League since 2014

That's the sensible attitude. I want to buy your company, but I want to know what's happened in the past and how it's worked....so you look across the board room table to the directors holding the remaining 20% to ask their opinion and tell us what they've learnt...they offer advice and counsel and together it works.

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

Is it possible for MCFC to buy Cork City in Ireland. I keep telling a guy I know who's involved with them to email City and plead for them to take them over. Is it allowed to have 2 clubs in the same continent though? If not I'll stop bugging him.
