The badge is obviously similar in design to the New York City version.

Perhaps we can now expect a return to the round badge similar to the one introduced in the 70's.

Waking up to fantastic news this morning. Delighted to hear this, and especially happy for our friends in Melbourne and the wider Australian circle. I'm loving the uniformed brand approach, and so happy to see Melbourne come on board in line with City and our New York team, whilst also taking into consideration their past history and heritage.

Once again terrific work by our owner and staff. A lot of credit has to go to Ferran Sorriano and co :)

We are gonna take over the world hehe

As advised sometime ago to all bluemooners Melbourne City or MCFC as it will be known here in oz becomes official now with the change in home colours ala City keeping a version of the current colours for away games as previously advised.

Good that Villa will play 10 games next season for the club as will Lampard if we can get him to New York.

Great news this! From NZ so might have to go see them when they venture across to Wellington.
They won't get both Villa and Lampard though as the Aussie rules only allow one guest player outside the salary cap

Very pleased and surprised at the outcome. I will retract all my doubts, and probably over anxious worries. I haven't really got an EPL team but today and onwards will be getting into city. Massive news in Melbourne......

Happy about Villa, mostly happy with the crest and away kit, fair few giving out about getting a hand me down as a home kit (their words, not mine), very good timing on the Villa announcement by FS though, I think it's sweetened the deal for a lot of them.
