Signing him on those similar figures will for sure cause unrest amongst other players. If messi leaves what options are there for him? Psg and City. Reckon psg will throw their wallet at him.
PSG in the French league would not be able monetise Messi as much as us in the Premier League, so that leaves creating a winning team. Neither us or the French champions will want to reconfigure their lineups to revolve around the then 35 year old Argentinian. If PSG throw their wallet at him then fair enough he goes there but I think both parties would regret it.Signing him on those similar figures will for sure cause unrest amongst other players. Etihad is the sponsor.
Puma is the manufacturer.
He is talking about the sponsor, as he states, not the manufacturer which you’re talking about.
It appears you don’t understand much about anything.
Please stop whilst you’re behind as this is fucking painful to watch. It’s car crash stuff.
So you don't think the Puma contract (and every other contract negotiated) will include a Messi clause payable during his time with us should he sign?

Too true.Fucking obscene amount of money.
Nike were prepared to double their contract in 2013, which was also part-way through.
Your 100% right , but Messi's yearly salary with all the extras is £215m per year , if the club think they can re-negotitate that amount of money in the current economic climate then i would be very surprised, none of us know the economics of the club or any Messi deal as a fan i would love Messi at the club just to see the piss boiling of our rivals , but not at the expense of crippling the club financially for any future transfersI absolutely guarantee you if we sign Messi we will start to renew our current sponsorships(Puma included) as all of them would love to have Messi promoting their brands. Also new sponsors would be falling over themselves to do a deal with us such is his commercial power
Was Dave Hatch one of them
So one would expect you’d understand that Messi gets kicked from pillar to fucking post then wouldn’t you.
Invalid point/ridiculous point my arse, you’re fucking clueless.
Think it was he last 4 year contract in a whole which is still a huge 135m plus a year lolCan I just confirm, is that headline saying he is on just over half a billion Euros per year? Surely that can’t be right as it would mean that he is the one sole player who brings in anything to Barca.
At an estimated £350 grand a week, our highest earners are just short of £20 mil a year, which just seems way off what is being spoken about there.
The article said €555m over 4 years which included variables as I read it. So that's the equivalent of €140m or £125m a year, all in. Still a lot of money but quite a bit less than you're suggesting. Other figures suggest he's getting around €500k a week in actual wages, which is around £20m a year net so say £50m gross. A new shirt deal and uplift to the Puma contract would cover that.Your 100% right , but Messi's yearly salary with all the extras is £215m per year ,
If a Messi deal pays for itself and doesnt affect any future transfer deals , it would be brilliant to see Messi at the Etihad , i doubt very much in the current economic climate it is feasible , my guess Messi stays where he is or PSG where Ligue 1 is a far less enduring prospect for a 33/34 year old.The article said €555m over 4 years which included variables as I read it. But why don't we leave it to Khaldoon, Soriano and the finance suits to sort out if we can do it?
