But Barca is his dream, and he's good enough for them to pay now buy later.... so people have to be realistic....we're still not able to out-muscle the likes of Real and Barca, if they are set on a player, and he wants to join them, that's what will happen. making a 50m bid when you know the player will reject the move, would just make us look stupid and crass. our only chance would be if the Barca thing fell through completely.

Correct. The lad is a top player but I still can't get over people's reaction to players when they see them having a couple of good games in the WC - it's bizarre. Perhaps people would suggest Rooney and Ronaldo are poor players due to their WC performances.

Silva has been in and around the Spain squad for a few years now and has performed at the top of la liga for 3 or 4 years... He is a superb player.
