Metrolink

its in service now, dont know how its going to be on sunday as its only a 12 minute service, i'll try and find out if they are putting extra trams on

This is Roberto Mancini from Manchester City. This is the Droylsden service. The next stop will be the Etihad Campus

Blues' skipper Vincent Kompany also gets into the spirit of things."This is your captain speaking,"

Travelled on the service to Droylsden yesterday and everything ran smoothly.

I was told by Metrolink staff that after a match the Velopark and Holt Town stations would be closed. Therefore anybody wishing to board the tram after the game will have to do so at the Etihad Campus, which will be a pain for those of us at the South end of the stadium.

It might mean less people using the buses though!

we start ghost running on saturday 2nd feb for 9 days, at last thales have sorted the signals out, then on the 11th feb it will start running in service from bury to droylsden on a 12 minute service and i'm pretty sure on match day it will also be running a 12 minute service from media city to the velodrome,

Will they have the sense to put double carriages on?
I don't think they can double up the new trams.

My bro is a tram driver. There is no problem doubling up the new trams themselves - I think the problem lies with the platforms at some of the stations and something to do with accessing the new style trams - pretty sure he said the new trams don't have steps that lower where required at some station platforms.
