Micah In Showdown Talks With Mark HughesAfter Anfield Axe...

I want Micah to have the chance to prove himself, but all this paper bullshit is doing him no favours, fuck the publicist twat off, get your head down and start working your arse off to improve and get back in the team.

Hope not he is only young and there's plenty of time to learn with a good squad around you.

Might seem like a bit of a far-fetched idea, but if he really wants to stay and be part of our future, why doesn't he try pulling his head out of his fat arse and playing well now and then?

I'll carry him to any potential buyer myself if the £12m/£13m fees are true. Sadly, i think we'd be looking at a third of that, but i'd still sell. There seems to be this mad blind view amongst elements of our support that we must hang on to academy graduates at all costs. For me, it sort of depends on their quality and performances, as mad as that might sound.

Nah, theres a Zab is shit thread somewhere on here....he'll get another chance if the bluemooners get their way!

Nah, get rid of the pair of em, both shit. We really need a decent right back with pace.

Pardoe - to a degree I agree with you, ie. he needs to start pulling his weight and plaing well but I dont think its clear as to why someone so good and playing so well for club and country has become so shi*e. If he wants to leave then let him but if not we should embrace his talent and get him back to how he was.

I agree in part.

Any City fan could argue that few defenders have made progress under Hughes. Nedum Onuoha's the only one who's got better, thought he was solid last year, and will rarely let us down.

I wonder about the defensive work we do in training, i'll be honest. When we concede goals they tend to be bad goals, and a few people have pointed out that Eddie Niedzwecki may not be the most qualified defensive coach around.

Richards, though, has gone back MUCH more than anyone else, and i think that's mainly not Hughes or his team's fault. Firstly, although i hate it when people accuse players of this, he's become a bigshot, Max Clifford, ffs, pull the other one. Secondly, deny it all they want, he's lost that natural edge in terms of fitness. His pace often helped him out, and enabled him to be more of a presence in both boxes, that's gone.

I'll always get behind a player off form for a short while, weeks, even months, but Micah's been largely crap for nearly two years. We shouldn't let the fact that he's come through the ranks mask that. £12m would be ASTOUNDING business, it really would. An astounding percentage of goals conceded were his fault last year.
