Rodgers won't touch Micah with a bargepole. You can take that to the bank. He's trying to build a technically gifted team, like City are, and Micah is lots of things but technically gifted and comfortable on the ball is not one of them.

Don't be so sure, apparently they enquired about him in January. Looking at his signing of Cissokho, I wouldn't say his emphasis is entirely on a players technical ability.

His pace has got him out of trouble on a ridiculous amount of occasions and due to injuries he can't rely on that anymore.

Simpy just not good enough anymore and he will never rediscover the form of 2011/12.

When he was playing with Richard Dunne who took the time to tutor and mentor him regarding his positional play Micah looked a more than excellent prospect and that was in the Premiership too. I really do think he is and can be a 'footballer' with the right coaching.

With all due respect mate the days of Richard Dunne mentoring our defence are long gone.

He was a young 18-19 year old then playing in a team where we were happy to score a goal, expectations have gone up a couple of gears since then and due to injuries and a lack of technical ability he's been left floundering unfortunately.

He'll be 26 next season I think that is a little bit past the tutoring and mentor stage. at the club we are now 26 year olds need to stand on their own 2 feet.

That was some form though, if only he hadnt got injured during the Olympics his story could be so different

I'd suggest that for a team that finished 7th last season, and for the experience that Kolo brings to a fairly young team, that he would be a good signing for Liverpool given that he was free.

But i agree that techincally he is woeful.

How much did we offer Oldham for Micah's sell on clause a few years back?

A garbage figure in the region of 500k if I remember correctly.

If we can get £2m, I'll be more than delighted. Would fund a lot of the stand and provide much needed funds for the squad.

£10 million I fucking hope someone offers us that. Really though £5 million is more realistic
