It takes one to know one, as they say
What does it matter that he’s a blue, it doesn’t automatically make him a great pundit as most can see if they’re being objective. Plus, he’s been on Radio 5 Live for more than a year in his pundit role and hasn’t improved one jot, so he’s not just starting out as many on here claim. He’s only slightly better than Ashley “ehhhhhhhhhhh” Cole, which is saying something.
Way behind Evra and Clinton Morrison, for example. Bobby Zamora was pretty decent as well when he was on recently.

How that Liverpool team did so well that season we overtook them for the title in 2014, is a fucking mystery. Their squad was average as owt!

They finished 7th the year before and 6th the year after - that was their level!
 
He comes across as very honest. He said last night that he sometimes ue switched off as a player at set pieces and Souness was taken aback at that. He's definitely more professional on Sky than when he's on The BBC.

I also think Souness has taken a shine to him. It looks like they get on really well
