Micah Richards the pundit

He comes across as very honest. He said last night that he sometimes ue switched off as a player at set pieces and Souness was taken aback at that. He's definitely more professional on Sky than when he's on The BBC.

I also think Souness has taken a shine to him. It looks like they get on really well

Well if anyone can make that miserable bastard smile, then he's doing something right I suppose.

It takes one to know one, as they say
What does it matter that he’s a blue, it doesn’t automatically make him a great pundit as most can see if they’re being objective. Plus, he’s been on Radio 5 Live for more than a year in his pundit role and hasn’t improved one jot, so he’s not just starting out as many on here claim. He’s only slightly better than Ashley “ehhhhhhhhhhh” Cole, which is saying something.
Way behind Evra and Clinton Morrison, for example. Bobby Zamora was pretty decent as well when he was on recently.
Being a blue doesn't make him a great pundit, I've no issue with that. Being a blue should afford him a little leeway amongst other blues when discussing his abilities as a pundit though and that particular poster has been way too harsh on him. Saying he's not very good is all well and good but it can be done in a respectable way.

That's a bit harsh. Micah's not miserable.
To be honest, I think Mane has pretty much been the best player in the league this season, with shouts for de Bruyne and Ings too.

I don’t think Sterling has even been in the top three at City this season, despite it being his best goal scoring season.

He should be on today, not sure how much he knows about the case but we should’ve had a representative today

Oh christ no.

I love Micah but hes not qualified to talk about this and he flounders when asked questions that dont relate to his experiences as a player - hes just not an experience broadcaster and he often just caves in and agrees with the other person when he gets in too deep as seen with discussions about Foden.

Mark Chapman is back on 5Live which is good news, despite being a united fan he is an excellent broadcaster and host, and hopefully they will call up some of the sports lawyers they have spoken to in the past. Rory Smith will be on 5 Live as well and hes generally of the opinion that FFP is a protectionist rule anyway.

Sky will have Neville on - he is anti FFP because of Salford City and hopefully Souness.

If Micah is appearing tonight I hope the clubs media department is briefing him on what's happened.

Yeah forgot we had Michael Brown who always sticks up for us as well, it just a shame we don’t have a city fan in the papers, the best we get is Martin Samuel.
