Why? i followed it from and including the trial, just because someone accuses someone of something it doesn't make it true,we can make our own minds up and that's my opinion, you can say anything you like 10yrs after the person has died, they have no right to reply
People make jokes about all sorts of macabre subjects, partly as a coping mechanism for the wicked world we inhabit. Doesn’t mean they don't think it’s a serious subject.Glad some people find paedophilia funny.

I think it's pretty disturbing that a justice system would allow a case of child abuse to be settled out of court in the first place. Something between two adults sure, but as soon as an accusation of child abuse comes out, it should be up to prosecutors to find out the truth. They certainly shouldn't be allowed to drop the charges because the family says so.Maybe over simplifying things but I do wonder how many of us would settle out of court when accused of abuse. Personally I would fight until the end. And if I was found guilty knowing I was innocent I would not stop appealing.
I will grant that if you a a multi millionaire and it costs you a fraction of your overall fortune you may think different in order to bring things to a conclusion. I’ve never been in that position so can’t comment. However it does nothing to help dispel the accusations in reality. If anything it points to guilt.
And I might be wrong but it seems the settlement was made after the accuser could accurately describe Jackson’s cock.
That's a good point actually. Unless it's to save the child the torment of going through a trial maybe . If Jackson hadn't made such good music nobody would be defending him. He had an amusement park in his back garden specifically to attract children and had sleepovers with them. Thats not normal by any stretch of the imaginationI think it's pretty disturbing that a justice system would allow a case of child abuse to be settled out of court in the first place. I know sometimes lawyers will advise people to file a civil case if they believe it will be difficult to secure a conviction in a criminal case because the requirements to rule in your favour at a bit less. I think it's based on balance of evidence rather than beyond reasonable doubt, so they're easier to win. I don't know whether in Jackson's case the settlement was given to drop a civil case or a criminal accusation though. That's a good point actually.
