Chill Mick, did the smiley not indicate that I was messing?

Anyway back on topic, I feel sorry for Michael Johnson, maybe I shouldn't but I don't know his full circumstances so it's hard for me to pass judgement on him. I also sincerely hope things work out for him in the end. He had an incredible talent and it must be a terrible feeling not to fulfil what was expected of you.

Fair comment on both points fella.

Off topic for a minute, for some strange reason you're username mcfclovin88 paints me a picture of someone shagging two fat ladies in McDonalds, don't know why. Probably says more about me than anything else!

One of your repressed memories maybe?

It could well be my friend, it could well be.

Am I one of the very few that actually feel sorry for the guy?

He clearly has a number of psychological problems and even if he never kicks a ball again for City I would hope he can get help for his disorder.
I have seen many people waste much talent in all walks of life and it is always very sad to see, he needs to seek help.

Since when did being a piss head get classed as a disorder?

I'm a bellend when I'm pissed so I dont drink. Its that easy.

And a bellend sober, having a drink problem is a serious illness.

I bet you are middle class.

no one is denying that....but since when is "getting into a car" whilst pissed a serious illness? Hope the club fuck this idiot right off

There is a huge difference between getting in a car pissed and being over the limit, until the full details are known please put down the stones.

How much time would he have to do for City to have a case for sacking him (getting his wages off the books without paying him off)?

If he is unavailable to complete his side of the contract, it can be viewed as a fundamental breach of contract, and the contract could be cancelled.

However, football clubs rarely take that option. They have a cosy relationship with the PFA and wouldn't want to rock the boat ala' Bosman...

If charged and convicted he won't "do" any time, unless he was recklessly over the limit, my guess would be 12 month driving ban, and a fine - nobody else was involved in the accident.
