Michael Johnson.....

good luck to michael, i hope he can find some fitness and play pro football, if not good luck to him in whatever he chooses.

sad that injuries robbed us of seeing a potentially top player, but sadder still for MJ.

life is not always as we want it to be.

Jack Wilshere had a serious injury that kept him out for 18 months, did he at any stage even put on an ounce of weight during his rehabilitation process? No because he dedicated his life to getting back onto that pitch and respected the club and the fans who pays his wages.
Using Jack Wilshere as a shining example of how to behave when injured is laughable. He's as well known in certain parts of London for being a pisshead (at the very least) as Johnson is in Manchester. And an obnoxious, violent and cowardly excuse for a pisshead at that.

Laughable? hahahahaha, Jack Wilshere is that much of a pisshead and is so unprofessional that after 18 months of being out with a serious injury, not only is he back playing but he has been Arsenal's best player this season and will walk into the England squad. Correct me if i am wrong but i never saw pictures of Jack Wilshere putting on 2-3 stone of weight because he was out injured?

I also don't believe during his rehabilitation he was out most nights till the early hours drinking, gambling and ending the night with a donner kebab before not getting out of bed for work in the morning.

So yes, Jack Wilshere is a shining example of how a young player with the world at his feet
should behave and apply himself in his work when he is out of action for a very long time regarldess of whether he is a nasty so or so when out and about.

Depression is an illness matey............ let's hope you never suffer from it eh

There but by the grace of God go we.....

It's ridiculous.

For all we know he could be perfectly happy with his life, never really liked football and is relaxing with his money. He could be really content, and we are all saying he has depression.

Obviously the above probably is unlikely, and the more likely scenario is that he does have at least issues, if not something more sinister, but to throw about that he has depression when no one knows the ins and outs of the situation is a bit OTT.

If he isn't happy with his life, I hope this renewed publicity might finally make him put his life back on track.

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can head upwards again.

Depressed? Bollocks. Maybe now yes but when he was in the starting 11 week in week out?

People are getting confused and thinking his drinking and weight comes from the heartbreak of failed attempts to get fit.

Does anyone actually know what the status of his injury is? Can he train? Is there any prospect of him recovering?

If he was capable of making a full recovery and has ruined his rehab by not buckling down then I would have no sympathy with him.

If, on the other hand, he's been told that he's got little chance of ever playing at the top level and has then gone off the rails it would be more understandable.

Which is it?
