Michael Johnson.....

Just hope he had the right financial advice and has saved for the inevitable rainy days. Even if he lived off a small fraction of his £25,000 per week and bought annuities with the rest, at least he would have a secure future. Seems like the lad does not have the will power to make a concerted effort to "be" something, but who knows. One can hope, but then we have been trying that for more than a few years.

Seems to me that his injuries MAY have been of the "not going to ever play at the top level again" variety and even the step down to Leicester, and the warm embrace of Sven, was too much for his fragile (by pro sports standards) body.

Good luck to him. I do not wish him ill.....and I mean that both ways.

Do any of our resident medical/football/psychological experts actually know what injuries he had, where they fixable? What effect they had on him?

Or as per usual they are making wild assumptions based on Internet rumour

The one I found interesting was his abdominal injury because when he was out with it I saw him in 42nd st in town?

Iirc he originally had an abdominal problem (muscle tear/hernia?) which first kept him out of the team. Don't know what subsequent problems he had injury wise.

Think about it, abdominal injuries, out getting pissed.....

Fair enough if it was a hamstring injury but he's drinking alcohol whilst suffering with his abdomen, surely not doing his injury any good??

Wasn't that the one where the medical team couldn't find anything physically wrong with him and suggested the pain was all in his head?
