Just hope he had the right financial advice and has saved for the inevitable rainy days. Even if he lived off a small fraction of his £25,000 per week and bought annuities with the rest, at least he would have a secure future. Seems like the lad does not have the will power to make a concerted effort to "be" something, but who knows. One can hope, but then we have been trying that for more than a few years.
Seems to me that his injuries MAY have been of the "not going to ever play at the top level again" variety and even the step down to Leicester, and the warm embrace of Sven, was too much for his fragile (by pro sports standards) body.
Good luck to him. I do not wish him ill.....and I mean that both ways.
