Michael Johnson.....

he had everything, one of the best youth talents we have ever had, he would be a star in our team and the england team. All he had to do when not injured was not to drink stay in shape and he would have a better chance of recovery. ( unless he was just one of those unfortunate always injured players)

If someone sees him tell him hes an idiot that has wasted his career :)

im just hoping we have another johnson ( mancunian ) player that will end up in the first team

@viewfromablue on twitter is suggesting that the injuries are covering up something worse than the drink. Immediate thought is drugs and I guess you have to think that his injuries healed up but by that time he was hooked on drink and drugs.

I don't see any value in speculating on his private life at this point. What's done is done.

I lamented to a Rag drinking partner on Sunday that Wellbeck was the only true Manc playing for either club that day. I dream of a Mancunian blue playing for our first XI. Let's hope the Etihad Campus delivers. Seen a bit of that VIP People when the kids have it on CBBC and I love it!

Really really hoping that George Evans makes it, Manc, City fan and been with us through all youth levels

You are right, let him go now

Sad all round.

Hope he can sort out his demons and resurrect his career elsewhere.
Why should he?? he's a multi-millionaire already. Any future career will be away from football as he clearly doesn't have the mentality or the discipline for football at the highest level, which is a shame cos he certainly had the talent.

Football is not the be all and end all.

Look what football has done for him.

Some people lose their jobs and have to reassess what they will do going forward.

Easier to reassess your life and what you want to do with the best part of £2-3m in your bank account.

There are probably players out there now who hate their job and all the shit that goes with it. Love the money yes but other things make them unhappy.

apparently hes talked to stu brennan and somethin will be in the M.E.N tomorrow. ( btw not sure if true)

this is so sad, more so because hes local and was such a good player, miles better than wilshire
