Them lads have far too much time on their hands and not enough brains in their cheese boxes!

He was in the same pub as my mate at the weekend when the city game was on. How can he show his face, especially in a pub! After a few beers i definitely would have something to say to him!

Did he have a frothy, white coating on his 'tache?

Occasionally, but he was quick to wipe it off with the Dora the Explorer knickers he had in his pocket

Possibly because he hasn't actually been convicted of anything yet?
Don't get me wrong - if he is found guilty of these allegations then he can rot forever for all I care, but until then he can go for a pint just like you or I can.
I'm not sure I would particularly want to in his situation, but that's his call.

^^^^^

i find it right odd that whoever the "victim" is has kept shtum for so long. also when getting released a couple of years ago if there's owt in it why didn't he do one with his lucky break. you would flee to brasil or the like wouldn't you?

Exactly the same thing was said when Savile's victims came forward. Many, many victims of sexual abuse only find the strength to report it many years after the event. Far from been odd it is a very common trait amongst victims. Especially those who were abused as children. I have no idea if he is guilty or not but the assumption that because any crime wasn't reported for years in no way makes me think it is less likely to have happened.

And why would someone who's had charges dropped, whether they were innocent or guilty, feel the need to do a runner? That would almost be an admission of guilt.

exactly. so why stay unless you knew you were never going to get convicted of it?

I don't want to be pre judging this case but talking in general, if a person had committed a crime, been arrested for it and then released without charges been brought, they would probably think they'd got away with it and would feel no need to give up a very well paid job and leave everything and everyone they know on the off chance the case is reopened years later.
